Funny you mention that EscortBiz.

I did bring this up 2 months ago and was met by " you are an american hater" , a " conspiracy freak" , a " leftist" and so on.

I have a friend in California who was prosecuted under Rico. Everything he had was seized before the case ( as per that llaw) and his income dwindle to nothing ( no assets) while his legal expenses skyrocketed...

People here think this is a joke: well it isn't. And the day they really want to close us down ( I hace a US corp, so I am included), they will use all means and ressources they have to do so. RICO is the weapon of choice.

:2 cents:

I spoke to someone that knows whats going on in these days, not an attorney that has an interest in scaring.

All I can say it was scary as hell hearing names and companies names that I recognized.

Alot of CC Fraud related stuff coming down, mostly related to scamming surfers and also tax evasion stuff.

Crazy shit about to happen.

They used it to jail spammers for over 10 years and was used in the past 30 years to crackdown on Organized Crime. With the RICO act anyone that has anything to do nusiness wise or support wise gets fucked!

RICO stand for Racketeering Influenced and Corrupt Organization

What types of crime give rise to a claim under the RICO Act?
The RICO Act applies to a wide variety of crimes. Originally, the breadth of the RICO Act was intended to give law enforcement, and private persons, broad power to fight organized crime, whether "organized crime" was traditional mobsters, members of a drug ring, or gangsters. The RICO Act has over time, however, resulted in unforeseen applications. For example, corporations have been sued under the RICO Act for allegedly distributing false advertisements; lawyers, bankers, accountants, and other professionals, have been sued under the RICO Act for allegedly assisting clients in organizing, or assisting in the organization of, schemes to defraud; spouses have been sued for allegedly concealing the value of marital assets in divorce proceedings; and, civil protest groups have been sued for intimidating and extorting the customers of the industries that the protest aimed to disrupt. Although these more unusual applications of the RICO Act may not have been intended by Congress, they can be legitimate uses of the RICO Act.

taken from http://www.ricoact.com/ricofaq.htm

It makes me think that the "Authorities" are given rather broad and sweeping powers and that new "Uses" will be found in the near future.

This seems to indicate both Criminal and Civil cases apply.

I agree with you totally on this. I guess nobody wants to face reality of what tools can be used to bring down anyone if the government wants to nail you.

I know all about RICO. That's a nasty tool.

Got to understand the tactic typically used is you get blasted with all sorts of charges that will scare the living fuck out of you. This is to totally intimidate and demoralize you. It usually works and what they want you to do is plea the case so they don't have to fuck around and spend money in court and then give them info on everyone else you know or do business with.

It is but if your sites are deemed obscene, well thats illegal. And they will nail you under RICO which basically says your running a racket or criminal enterprise just like a drug dealer, bookmaker, or any other mob type shit.

When they get you under RICO its their way of saying we mean business...most times people just cop a plea cuz if you don't your probably gonna be looking at a 15-20 yr. bid. I believe the statistics are something like 90% cop a plea bargain and the other 10% that actually fight it 95% lose...they usually only come for you when they know they have you nailed to the fucking wall

Shit they will watch you for years and years committing a crime and let you do it and just build evidence against you till they know they have you put away for 100 yrs...they are fucking evil

I remember talking about this last yr. and i recall a few idiots screaming "oh the sky is falling... the sky is falling" but if they ever come to your home and kick your door down at 7am you will feel the wrath of the federal government. They are not to be fucked with, they toss people away everyday for 20- 30- 40 years in prison without even losing a wink of sleep
