Which GFY Webmasters Do You Think Could Be Targeted For Prosecution?
Who do you think has pushed the edge too far, is a sitting duck or likely to be a prime target for a DOJ prosecution from our cast of characters here at GFY?

I hope no one here gets prosecuted for free speech.
If it is going to happen, hopefully the ones who voted for Bush will get busted first. :1orglaugh |

Sounds like a matter of a prosecutor's strategy... choose three small players to get successes and precedents and another three big players for trials after them.
When they are all "dealt with" - hell.. you can wipe the board of the rest! :winkwink: |
Max Hardcore, and over the top type of stuff like that.

People who send me shitty e-mails. Damn that pisses me off!

Of course, no one would implicate someone in this thread, what if 3-6 months down the road they do get raided. Then, they have proof that you targeted them, think of the lawsuits if they dont prove it :-) Of course, im the completly wrong person to post this :-)
but, when it comes to obscenity prosecutions, or anything else where the government has to "think" then the fewer people they go after. Sure, it looks like they go after obvious targets. Lets hope those prosecutions stay until 2004 when we can elect a new president that hopefully wont go after us. |
I think the big question is, will they only go after extreme stuff or will they go after more general stuff?
The stupid thing about all of this is that if their intent is to wipe porn off the internet, it just shows how ignorant they are. You could take 100% of the porn sold in the US and stop it all. You know what? It doesn't matter. It's the WORLD wide web. Not the US wide web. The lines don't stop at our borders. There isn't even different areas of the internet for each country. It's all together. Canada, UK, AUS, Russia, Germany, etc... It will continue to come out of those countries and many others. |

All of us are targets. Time to start covering your ass from every angle and get a tattoo that says 'exit only'.

At least I hope it's just a round of test cases. Hard to say. Zealots do things that don't make sense to most people. |

I don't think it will help to name names... but the following activities are asking for trouble:
1. Giving away hardcore porn without any attempt to keep it from minors. 2. Publishing any extreme hardcore, like beast, rape, extreme degradation, etc. 3. Running sites that promote illegal activities like drug use, prostitution, etc. 4. Showcasing any model under the age of 18 on adult-oriented sites, or presenting any model under 18 in a sexual way, whether clothed or not. 5. Failing to present 2257 information on sites with relatively young models and/or hardcore content. 6. Charging people money that they didn't realize they were "agreeing" to. (Some of the "free" trials, etc.) There are plenty of people here who fall into one or more of these categories. |
