CCBill Email Notifications?

Is anyone getting email notificatons from CCBill when they make a sale? Sponsors are.... as an affiliate, I am not.

So.... I email CCBill and asked them if they had any plans to start this and they tell me that I should be getting them by default.

I says no I'm not.

So... they say it's in my profile menu.

I says no it isn't.

So.... they say it's by default, everyone gets email notifications.

I says no, no one I know does.

So.... they say I must be blocking them.

I says no, I have no filters on.

.......... this is taking forever!

Is anyone getting email notifications? Or is it just me? :BangBang: :helpme

I just checked my profile

Allow Webmaster to
view your address: NO

maybe that should be set to YES to get the emails?

I just got another email from CCBill....

"I'll contact programming and get the official word on affiliates getting email notification of signups."

I don't think affiliates get emails but I don't see why not. They have it set up so sponsors get them... wouldn't be hard to give us the option if we wanted them.

Thanks for the responses. :thumbsup

affiliates dont, the radio button that use to be there was to get "webmaster emails"

Some ccbill sponsors offer it to their afilliates, but it's definately not a default option....

Dirty F 09-04-2003 07:35 AM

I know www.wootwootcash.com does.

FreeOnes 09-04-2003 08:08 AM

own sites: NO (I did in the past...)
affiliate programs: NO

I signed myslef up as an affiliate and was getting emails regarding the sales. When I looked at the emails now they are to me as the paysite owner not the affiliate so my mistake. Sorry about that.

I'm going to get onto CCbills case now because this is stupid if the affiliates don't know they received a sale without logging in.

the only thing that confuses me is how you can say "I says..." but "they say..."

heymatty 09-04-2003 10:44 AM

My affiliates get sales notifications.

If any other ccbill paysite owners want to provide this service to their affiliates let me know and I'll put you in touch with the guy who coded it for me.

it would be nice to have a notification, i agree...

Makingcoin 09-04-2003 11:16 AM

That would be a cool feature. I am sure some people won't want to get an email about every sale. So hopefully you can turn the function off/on.

I'm a pay site owner and I am still trying to find the place in CCBills admin interface to turn on e-mail notification when people sign up to my own site. I currently am only receiving notifications when webmasters sign up as affiliates.

u need to get signups first:winkwink:

Hey that's actually a great idea that I had never really given thought to. I didn't realize affiliates did not receive e-mails when they got a sign up through our CCBill programs. If CCBill doesn't incorporate it soon I'll code something myself to do it... definitely useful to keep the program on the affiliate's minds. :thumbsup

Click Account Setup in the quick links area. Click Account Admin. Select subaccount. Go to Custom Emails. Type your email address in the Email for Subscription Notification box.

Well, I got the offical word and it's exactly what I expected.... we get shafted because we're not sponsors who pay for the service. (of course we make all the money for everyone!!! :BangBang: )

I received this today: "CCBill does not offer a service to send emails to affiliates. However, you could ask the webmasters to set up a forwarding filter for the emails they receive."

Thanks for coming out! (looser)

I guess it's not that important but I have it with other companies and I like it. I used to have it set up through a hotmail account so it would text my cell phone when I got a sale (I knew even if I was out) and it was great.

Thanks for the responses (please feel free to email [email protected] to complain about this ).:1orglaugh
