Getting 4 of these I think.

and 2 of these
ALPINE MRD-M1000 Mono Sub Amp 1800 Watt

That work alright you think? I mostly listen to rock music so didn't go for bigger subs like 12's.

as long as it says "type R" it means everything.

even if type-r is for cars. type-r speakers will show you the way.

sounds like it should kick, what kinda amp you using?

Are you doing sealed or ported? I have two 12 Type Rs and they are a really good sounding sub.

4- 10" subs and 2 1800 watt amps?!! thats way overkill for mostly rock music for sure. I have 1- 12" kicker , 400 watt Orion Comp. amp and i listen to rap alot and it rattles windows. Dude you better put extra screws in your tail light lenses:1orglaugh My trunk is fully lined with dyna-mat too and my car rattles with a sealed box. Its not about how many subs you have its about the quality of the sub and the enclosure. You gonna be bumpin Metallica down the streets?haha Shit if you go through you better have some great componant speakers too with a crossover so you can hear the highs, cause with all the bass you aint gonna hear a word.

It will be mostly for rock but I listen to others also. And not much metallica.

This will be going in my 00 escalade so I have the room in the back.

What kinda of car you have with your stuff?

You want to get the SWR-1021D to get the correct ohms for those amps. That amp is rated 1000 watts @ 2 ohms and 500 at 4 ohms.
