How do I go after this cbing piece of shit

I have had it with people stealing from me, this scum bag charged back his membership. He had been on the site three times and one of the ip is from TN where his msn profile says that is where he is from. I want to collect my money from him, how would I do that. Also third parties have to start going after these people so they think twice about doing this shit because these friendly fraud motherfuckers are going to run them out of business. Instead of throwing parties at internext hire collectors. lol

Dirty F 09-02-2003 06:13 PM

Get his phonenumber and call his wife.

stocktrader23 09-02-2003 06:15 PM

I thought about collecting for adult sites but I never had time to look into the legalities. I'm sure for a 3rd party to do it there is some licensing involved. If not give me his info, I'll make him pay.

Muahahaha

angelsofporn 09-02-2003 06:59 PM

i get about one guy a month that does that...in the members area for over an hour a day for like 2 months then CB or get ccbill to refund the whole thing..saying was 12 year old son or something

lexr 09-02-2003 07:33 PM

Man oh man, I'd love it if we could send chargebacks to collections agencies or something.

Especially if we have enough documentation and logs to support the fact that the person is just stealing from us (ie: membership theft).

Blockbuster sends your account to a collections agency if you just have $4.37 (the price of one rental here) overdue after a period of time. Don't pay? It ends up on your credit history.

You can.

Saw one of their reps posting here the other day. Looks pretty damn interesting if you ask me.

NetRodent 09-02-2003 07:58 PM

Send him a bill by mail. Perferably with the name of your site prominently displayed on the envelope.

bahaha! from that site:

Imagine the consumer's shame and embarrassment when he has to explain the CumGuzzlingWhores.com charge off when he applies for his next credit card or goes to refinance his house

tony286 09-02-2003 08:00 PM

It looks very interesting but I dont get enough cb's for it to pay the min they get is $100 a month. Too bad they didnt do on contingent.

steffie 09-02-2003 08:00 PM

I had a guy charge back 18 month in one hit when I didn't meet him for a private one on one ....

I argued with CCbill forever, even went so far as the fraud department with them. They told me there is NOTHING they can do. However you can go to small claims if you have proof that he accessed your site.

So I had everything, even an email from him saying that he is going to charge back because I didn't meet him. His login was filed (daily visits)

So I emailed him - Email bounced back
Since this was really the only contact info I had

So I wrote him - Nada

Let's just put it that way - Kiss it good bye or take it to small claims court.

LOL..might as well give up..cause you aint gonna get back that $$..

oh wait..how about getting his address ? and pay his ass a visit :thumbsup

In theory this is good but 9 times out of 10, you would get a fake addy and physical address

tony286 09-02-2003 08:14 PM

Now I have a dilemna, I found him ,he goes to a bible college in TN .On his profile he said basketball I found him on a team roster with pic on the schools site. If I go after him can I fuck myself because it says on the front of my site you cant join if you are from TN?

i can't seem them staying in business very long.

Looks like they only collect for US based customers. VISA only allows 1% chargeback for US customers, you would have to be pushing a SHIT LOAD of memberships and be right at that 1% threshold in order for their service to be worth anything to you.

If you are at the absolute max of 1% on 2500 memberships per month, you would only be getting $568.75 from them, assuming they made good on all 25 collections.

But if you are pushing 2500 transactions per month do you really need that $568.75 (using their $40 membership + $20 fee model)? Their chart says $1056.25 but they did that math wrong, that is their commision, not your earnings.

Sure $500 is $500 but at 2500 transactions at an avg of $40 each, that is $100,000.00 i am sure you can afford a $1000 loss to charge backs. Is it really worth all the trouble for that 0.5% back?

You would probably spend your time better finding ways to reduce chargebacks all together then to worry about recouping $500

tony286 09-02-2003 08:23 PM

It wouldn't be the money, it would be the satisfaction of making someone squirm. For that reason I can see somebody using that service.

That would never work. Send a discrete bill first and make sure you tell the sob that the next one he gets will certainly not be so discrete. That way he will pay out of fear of humiliation and embrassement, once you have already humiliated the guy the major damage is done and every future attempt will be worthless. he is just going to be pissed and never pay you.

If it were a online computer store and the kid went on a spending spree then sold all the merchandise he bought -- who would be responsible?

>The store for accepting the 'unauthorized' card

> The kid for ordering it in the first place

> The parents for leaving their card somewhere the kid could access it?

> Or would visa just eat the charge?

The son, father & wife should all have to appologize to you over the phone or in writing in order to prevent you from sending their account to collections.

Let's see how far daddy will let the little white lie go :Graucho

Yeah good idea (if legal).

Send the first bill using your companies discreete name, letting him know that future bills will be sent using the site that he/she signed up for - but this is not a threat of course, you would need to make it clear that the reason a follow-up bill would be sent with the site name would be to help prevent them from throwing it away as junk mail or something.

Also, I'm not sure about the legalities of having profane or obscene words on US Mail. Probably a No No. Might get away with it for Fedex though... put a clause in your members TOS regarding them being responsible for collection fees & bill them the Fedex charges on the second collection attempt ;)

Beautiful idea :) - fuck the scammers.

bret 09-02-2003 09:41 PM

simple. just send a sample envelope along with the first attempt telling them that their next envelope will look like this. and put something like "INVOICE - The Balance of your Adult Website Subscription Enclosed - PLEASE REMIT"

and make sure /Adult Website Subscription/ is in big bold red letters.

i would be happy to print up these envelopes for anyone that needs them.

just do it all professional and legal.

That sux. I have worked with legitimate collection agencies for years, and they all work on a flat comission, say 50%.

If they can't make a living off a percentage of the "inventory" as we call it, they won't be in business in 6 months.
