trailers on reality sites
 

It seems that trailers on reality sites are getting longer. The sufer does not even have to signup he can just jerk off to the free preview clips.

Good point, and for the most part, I agree. A surfer these days has almost no reason to join when they can see basically the meat of the action for that episode in that trailer!
I'm all for making trailers "teasers", that's the way they should be IMHO. Fast snippets of action, loud music, and NO cumshot...

Look i tried the trailer thing and then tried a single compbo sample clip (no way someone jerkin to it) and in my case im doing weay better with the combo clip.

We had trailers at first and noticed that users were just watching them ...and not buying ..

We switched to no trailers and conversions increased 5-10 fold..


The more you give for free the less they are interested in buying .

i dont why some of the larger programs out there give away the trailers with the entire cumshot at the end ... defeats the entire purpose of the trailers which are supposed to be teasers to get the surfers to sign up.

my best numbers come form a site that I cannot find a "join here" button anywhere and they have tons of free content. So if it works for them...

Two different views on this: Why should we "give away" the cumshot? The trailer should be able to tease the surfer enough well before the cumshot. But I can see your point of view...

Less is more.

Also, unless the site is a blowjob or facial site, keep the tour as softcore as possible.

I agree some of these trailers I see seem way too long. I kept my trailers to 30 secs. and tried to show only the very beginning of the cumshot as a tease before the clip ends.

We show about 60-90 seconds for the promo...
I try to keep the hardcore stuff to a bare minimum in the promo.

i remember when you would go to a paysite and get a 1 20 sec clip tops, it wasent that long ago

I remember when downloading a 10 second clip took 6 minutes, and it was crappy as hell.

I remember downloading slideshows on a 14.4k

I'd almost like to set up a little shit pc with a 14.4K just to show the kids what I used to go thru. Damn kids and their MTV generation.

I use 20 sec clips... 30 - 45 sec on my conetnt sites for webmasters to see but not general public
