need to get sister a bday present... in like an hour..

any ideas? something i can pick up at a quik shop?

A Dr Seuss book collection for when she gets older.

Always look to the future, that is what children are.

Give them books not toys.

:thumbsup

Oops, I missed that she was 3.

well, a lot of times here and there i give my parents cash for their college funds (my bro is like 4).

they have a lot of books and stuff from when i was growing up. i had a lot of dr. suess books and stuff.

but that is definitely a good suggestion, i like things that help them learn :)

edit: barnes and noble is on the way... i think i might go there...

a cardboard box.

I'm not kidding. You hear it all the time you buy a kid a toy and they play with the box. Well, it's true. Our little one has more fun crawling, and climbing into boxes than any of the toys she has.

Kids love to use their imaginiations. Buy her a few boxes (different sizes and shapes) and some crayons or water soluable markers to decorate her new boxes with.

Trust me.

Boxes.

Winnie the pooh video collection. Always goes over well!

Plus... it will keep her entertained for hours on end.

Anything but clothes. Get her something to play with.

well, as expected, a lot of inappropriate GFY suggestions.

but, some good ideas too.

i feel bad, i haven't been over there in a long time. every time i go, i keep telling myself "i gotta visit these guys more often", and then it just doesn't happen. they're my siblings, i should see them more. oh well.

anyways, i'm out for a while. and i get a free dinner :)

iroc409 09-01-2003 02:52 PM

ugh, i'm supposed to be there in 10 minutes, i guess i'll be fashionably late as usual :)

Materialist 09-01-2003 02:53 PM

Definitely not toys.

Samoan 09-01-2003 02:53 PM

I always find myself coming up with excuses for not visiting my family, too. It's not that I don't like being around them. Plus, I get some good home cooked meals.
