you heard something but obviously don't know what you're talking about. 700%? Never.

Wade 09-01-2003 12:27 AM

3yrs ago it was good, 1 cent per high quality click, now its 10 cents for crap traffic.

sure, you guys try to scare the newbs away from the money-shitting ppc's. there is enough money for everone, they have the unwritten right to know. newbs are humans also, they shall know how to make money. so dont tell them ppc does not make people rich - they are not dumb, they can see all those sponsored listings when they search on google, they also see the high bids on overture!

I do pretty good with pp'cs. I use Overture, Goclick, Findwhat, 7search, Kanoodle. (around 300 keywords with each)

I am grandfathered at Overture but it is now a waste of money with the 10c starting point, and the same is now true with Findwhat. But Goclick etc are good value and they really are an awesome way of getting cheap targeted traffic.

Terenzo, you talk about 700% but have you seen how low bids are now, and in the last year? Because the traffic has become crap. No problem about newbies joining them, use this link to get listed by their experts, Overture's Fast Track expert assistance but for very few niches they will find high profit, for many others just losses. My :2 cents:

there is one seach engine that seems to be getting hitbotted big time

Dusen 09-01-2003 07:12 AM

Findwhat drug it's heels big time on a number of bids I tried getting in before the deadline.

Kinda annoyed me - 1 week to get the keywords approved? Come on.

near all ppcs deliver crap now and things will only get worse

Is it because they are all buying expired domain traffic?

puresexnow 09-01-2003 08:47 AM

A lot of the PPC's charge for raw clicks too.

I'm running at about 2.5:1 for raw:unique.

shits me off as more than half my traffic is useless.

more than one factors

The major one is that most of the ppcs tolerate their traffic partners fraud because they focus on volume.

When we first started advertising on Overture it was costing us about $1.50 per signup. Each signup was on average worth about $65 to us over the long term. In otherwords the ROI was about 4333%.

Needless to say its no where near that these days.

At least you guys are still one of the few survivors to keep advertising with Overture (adult-wise). Anything with positive ROI is still good, granted not like it used to be...
