SpamArrest Kicks Ass!!!

I signed up for SpamArrest about a week ago and have not gotten 1 piece of fucking spam since :1orglaugh

Just thought I'd share that with any of you folks who are dealing with spam problems. You should give it a try - it's free for 30 days. Don't have nothing to lose :)

Have you checked your isp. The one i'm using has a list of like 30 spam filters, I select them all and the spam won't even hit my inbox.

sounds great, but where would I go to look for all the latest offers on mortgage refinancing? penis enlargement? 50 year old white men posing as sexy college girls on webcams? RC cars?

I would miss that too much, I'm a spam shoppah....

:thumbsup :thumbsup

Spam Arrest is a piece of shit. As are many of the spam blockers.

Send out an email to your clients, Dean. If they reply to it, your OWN original email with contain Spam Arrest triggeers like "special" or "opt out here" or "sale" or ... anything that has the word "porn" in it, will be caught by Spam Arrest and you will lose sales.

You'll see what I mean. These spam filters are majorly fucking ecommerce!! The cure is much worse than the disease! They even block out opt-in newsletters. If you have any you yourself send out regularly and your customers are using a spam blocker, they won't get them either.

So the cost of getting rid of all that nonsense we all get, will end up hitting your bottomline and hard. Just my :2 cents:

SABAI 08-30-2003 04:48 PM

wrote twice to spamarrest support and never got any answer,

i would never give them any money if they cannot even answer my mails

Dravyk 08-30-2003 04:59 PM

Not to mention, after you get an email saying, so-and-so is using Spam Arrest, go here and blah-blah, you always get back an email that is 5% "confirmation" and 95% -- oh the irony -- of the email is SPAMMING you to tell you you should sign up for Spam Arrest!!

On top of which, hey, let's get real here. We have no idea what they are doing with the collected emails!! Wouldn't surprise me if they were selling them. That would not only make them more money on the one side, plus create greater reason for using their program to stop the spam. A win-win scenario for them.

Again, maybe their not doing that -- but one can see the evil beautiy in it if they are. And the fact they spam you for their antispamware leads me to distrust them even more.

webmasters should read their spam emails
you can learn alot by keeping up with the spam

One major challenge response system, I forget which one, spams your whitelist. They get top dollar for clean addys that actually open the mail and click on things.

rebel23 08-30-2003 06:13 PM

spamassassin is ok :thumbsup

Sharky 08-30-2003 06:30 PM

Dean -

Hit me up on ICQ, I'll tell you how to take advantage of our already implimented spamassassin features:-)

90% of the spam I get goes directly to a SPAM box i set up. I then view that once or twice a day for any good mail that might have been pushed there.. most of the time there isn't.

Mutt 08-30-2003 06:34 PM

Dean is that Penny Flame?
