I remember that big heatwave that hit Chicago years back and attributed to like 500 or so deaths.

What's with us anyway? It's the year 2 fucking thousand and some change and we still look more like the Flintstones than the Jetsons.

The max temp was what 97?....Shit..Flordia is 10x Worse when its 85 outside do to the fact of 100% humidity...

On a more serious note, France is not equipped for heat. Almost no air conditioning in most apartments. But hey, what can you expect from a country where not even 15 years ago, it was still normal to rent an apartment with the shower and toilets outside your apartment!!!

Not surprising.. I think the media is lying.. I believe they all DID have air conditioning, but they're embarassed that they were of French design & manufacturing.. They don't want to embarass French engineers anymore than they have to.

It could be worse.. They could have been Polish.. Then they would have surrendered to the heat while the sun was still on the other side of the world *coughcoughHitlercoughcough* ..

If you've been to France you'll know the place is cramped, nobody has air conditioning, and even if they did nobody could afford it cause France is gotten be the most fucking expensive place to live on the planet. Pay half a mill US and get a shitty 1-2 small bedroom apartment.
