best site for Venice Beach apartments?
I need to find a house or apartment for rent in Venice Beach, CA-what local newspaper website has the most ads for them?
|
Venice Beach is real small -- best thing to do is just go there and cruise the streets... Most of the rentals are seasonal or month-to-month and run by the independent owners... There's really one big rental company that rents apartments in the area but I can't remember the name of it... I lived on Rose Ave by the beach -- that area was pretty cool but if I was going to do it again I'd probably get something a little further back from the beach around Abbot Kinney...

As theFly said youll do better cruisin and finding a small apt.
Folks dont bother listing apts in Venice, it takes longer to place the ad than hang a sign on the door and have somone rent it by noon. I need to hit Venice, it's been awhile. Used to eat Hummus sandwiches and drink rollin rocks watching the tides at this lil greek place near Muscle Beach. Good times. :glugglug |
I'd try to go through a private owner -- the rental company that I went through (only one in the area) sucked... The manager seemed to always be yelling at his employees or on drugs... It's really slim pickings around there because it's such a desirable area... Half the shit on TV is filmed in Venice Beach.

need to run into Harry Perry!

and it is priced so high because it is on the fucking beach. I have yet to hear of any famous person that raises the property value.

Darling, will you then become venice2003?
Actually, I'm looking at moving to LA within a few months, too. Looking at Venice, Marina del Rey... something near the water. If I hear anything I'll let you know, and would appreciate it if you'd do the same for me! My ICQ: 51504163 :thumbsup |

But yes, people do move there for the neighbors... Big movie biz money around that area... but most everyone keeps a low profile and dresses grungy. You hang out there and you start to see that many of these "bums" are worth millions. |

venice beach is one of my most favorite places in the world...If I didn't have kids and In this divorce, I'd move there and be a beach bum....
It's fucked up that I've always dreamed of being able to be a beach bum and now that I can do it, it's impossible because I have kids to raise....oh well |
