If you live in the Hurricane states >
Two good links to keep an eye on things.
This link lets you see the continually updateed NOAA GOES-8 infared satellite image of the entire Atlantic ocean hurricane sector. http://www.goes.noaa.gov/browsh.html and the looped version is here http://www.goes.noaa.gov/HURRLOOPS/huirloop.html This link (currently set for Miami) lets you watch the current Short Range Composite Reflectivity from the regional Doppler Radar center. The short range goes out about 140 miles and the long range setting lets you see out to about 280 miles. Useful so you can see if severe storms are heading your way. http://www.srh.noaa.gov/radar/loop/D.../si.kamx.shtml |
