There was a video floating around a while back of a Chechen rebel getting executed by having his throat cut by a Russian soldier...that was pretty terrible.

here is an excert from the information that was issues
CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. -- Two Marine helicopters collided in the dark and crashed in a piney swamp Friday during the biggest U.S.-British training exercise in history, killing 14 people. A pilot and co-pilot were seriously injured. The collision involved a CH-46E Sea Knight and an AH-1W Cobra assault helicopter and happened about 2 a.m. in clear weather under a half-moon. Rescue workers had to wade into chest-deep mud and water and cut through the underbrush with chain saws to search for bodies. All of the victims were Americans. "It's in a heavily marshed thick woods, extremely dense underbrush, making it just about impassible by any kind of vehicle," said Col. J.C. Yannessa, whose uniform had a water line across the top of his shirt pocket. |

it's a three-way tie between:
1) my child (1lb/12oz) lying in her isolette with a catheter in her head and a central line in her heart. 2) my dad lying dead in his bed after succumbing to a heart attack during the night. 3) my mother's withered body/face as she died from cancer. |

In the first Gulf war, I was advance party attached to 18th Airbourne corp to sweep and clear for self-propelled artillary units. We came across a power pylon next to a Kuwait village that we had just driven the Iraqis out of. We found 35 men women and children that had been strung up on the pylon by Iraqi troops......while cleaning that up we discovered a bunker complex, and while clearing it, I was the first in a barracks room to discover the naked body of a 14 or 15 year old girl that the Iraqis had obviously raped and beaton to death.
It's making me all shakey again to type this. It really fucked with me for a long time |
In high school I worked at a morgue and assisted the coroner and I saw shit that I still dream about 15-16 years later...
one of the worst was around Christmas time and we were called to an accident scene and a family coming home from Christmas shopping was nailed by a drunk driver and there were Christmas presents all over the road and a little girl that had been thrown from the station wagon was laying in a ditch...while the cops were secruing the scene, they ahd somehow missed her...I found her...the ditch was full of water and had a thin layer of ice on top, which had given under her body weight, so she wasn't visible from the road. Well, I was checking down by the ditch because I had seen a teddy bear along side it and something told me to go down closer to the ditch and I could see her coat I thought it was just a package or something from the accident. When I pulled this coat out, it was the girl and I turned her over and her face was completely mashed and disfigured. She had this long, beautiful blonde hair that was now wet and freezing in the cold night air. 16 years later and sometimes at night I still see her face in my dreams. |

The look of fear and then seeing the emptiness and coldness of death in the eyes of one of my German Shepherds as she was being euthanized while I held her in my arms.
Watching and feeling something you love with all your heart die is something you just never can forget. The emotional pain of loss and sadness you feel in that moment of final separation is branded into your soul forever. :( |
