is this a virus on my pc?
 

Twice today an alert window poped up and it said 'fin'something.exe . I only got a quick look at it before I hit the abort button, which was the only button in the window. It had a status bar and was showing it was almost done. Like the status windows that pop up for the last few second of a download.

I am very careful about protecting my pc. I never open anything without being 100% sure it is safe. Both times seemed to be random. I had different programs open for each time and did not have anything on my screen that could prompt such a thing.

Does anyone know what this was?
