Nice............I remember being the test dummy for my bros. They would make me jump the fences....no one would arrest a 6 yearold. When the coast was clear, they would throw me out and I would not get another run til they were finished. The joys of having older brothers.
Awesome site ........lots of memories. |

Memories :)
Skateboarding is so fucking gay nowadays, all about fashion and hip-hop, it's bullshit. Skateboarding has, and always will be, about punk rock. All these little bastards just don't understand that. There's a secret pool down the street from me at a days inn, I haven't checked it out yet though. |
Skateboarding's for sissy's.
Came about because the CA kids had no real waves to surf in LA. Have to admit, they have some good moves, but until you've surfed a 40 ft. wave with a million pounds of water to ride you or crash you at pipeline or Waimai, you haven't done shit |

You try hurtling through mid-town Manhattan traffic during rush hour with a billion pounds of steel surrounding you at 60 mph and screaming Pakistani cab drivers spittin chutney out the window at 40 mph not to mention potholes, beer cans and what-not and a piss ass 40 ft wave will look like a baby shower. |

Just bought a brand new Santa Cruz Skateboard. Photo Greg... kiss my ass! Skateboarding is done on cement, not cushy water or snow. No disrespect to all the surfers & snowboarders out there, you guys push it WAY HARD, but I aint no fuckin WIMP! I broke 30 bones skateboarding, skiing, snowboarding, fighting & PUNK ROCKING - and I always got up, dusted off and went for more. Skateboarding is very technical, and unforgiving when (not if) you fall. You gotta be in total tune with gravity & the ground and respect it like your god for it will keep reminding you who is king. Old school skaters - don't ever forget who you are and why you look at things diferently. Cyntrifical force is a powerfull thing - and it will never cease to amaze me of how a skater, can look at cement, steel & wooden objects and see uses & carve lines that no-one could ever concieve. But then again... I never asked permission from anyone to think like that - it just comes naturally... from being a hardcore skater till the day I die.

Would like to highly recommend checking out the Newberg, Ore. park if you get a chance. Awesome place. They have a couple of 14ft over-vert walls that are insane. The park is very well built and ALOT of fast sections and variety. There are a couple of pics on the site mentioned in the first post of this thread.
I have 3 boards 1 for parks, 1 for bowls and 1 long board |
Bump for Fletch XXX - just left to go skate.

Gotta get in shape to skate again. Never had a bad bail. Worse bail I had was at about 35 mph. No bruises, nothin' broken but I was on a high grade hill with an artpad in one hand, nunchaku sticks in the other and pens and pencils bristlin' out of my pockets. After I got done tumbling there was about 50 yards of my stuff all over the street. I have no idea how I survived. Got a pal here in LA from the old 'Soho Skates' days in Greenwich Village. His name's Ian Frahm. Used to be best skater on the east coast. Worked at Marvel Comics too. He's out here surfin' nowadays. Does some kickass death metal artwork. |
I'm now on the prowl for skate spots in So Cal. Nothin big yet, just some mini ramps & small parks. Got any sugestions?
