Processor & AVS Solutions ?
The industry is taking a lot of twists & turns of late when it comes to billing.
Between the Third Party Processors that have gone, the Processors facing the inevitable and now the AVS\'s are starting to fall. I see a lot of the focus aimed at blaming the processors, blaming the credit card companies, and blaming whom ever is convenient but what I do not see is discussion on a solution. AVS\'s ##### Having previously owned an AVS myself, I think the AVS situation should be workable by having the AVS\'s host the sites on their own domains as a free host of sorts and thus they would own the sites so they would be able to process for them. Yes, not as simple as I have worded it but when the alternative is closing up shop, a little or even a lot of work to get around this will be worth it. Processors ########## I am not as well versed on this topic so this idea may be less than ideal. There is obviously a work around for it, or the big processors would be gone already. What about non-American Merchant accounts for the processors? It seems to me that obtaining merchant accounts in other countries would solve a lot of the processors woes, since the charge-back tolerance in other countries are much higher, processing rates are lower, and not sharing these new rules ( I believe ). Aren\'t these new rules for Visa and MasterCard USA and not the World Wide Operations ? |
you must really think VISA is made up of a bunch of drooling morons.
the only way your AVS idea might wash with VISA is if the AVS hires the webmasters who run those sites as employees, meaning the AVS owns the site and pays the webmaster a salary for running the sites. Paying the webmaster by affiliate commissions while free hosting his sites is no different than what already exists on many AVS systems and VISA knows this. VISA now has eyes in the back of its head. As for your ideas about foreign merchant accounts - where do u think all these recently closed down billers had their merchant accounts? If you have a foreign merchant account you better be incorporated in that region and if you're an IPSP only process for webmasters who are incorporated in that VISA region. |
As I said, I am not well versed on the Visa situation.
I only offered an attempt at a solution. There has to be a way around it and perhaps I do not know what that is. I am hoping someone does though. |
this guy is writing a posting bot notice the '\' in AVS/s
Unfortunately he hasnt figured out how to hide them YET :thumbsup |
The diference though is that I do not spam the boards dickhead, so I have no need to hide anything.

1900guru,
Which AVS did you own? |

Anyway this won't work as the sites, even if hosted by the AVS, will still be owned by a 3rd party webmaster.
All it will take is to check the WHOIS info on the domain name and you're caught. |
Carrie,
Wouldn't a creative Terms of Service that stated that any webmaster hosted must agree that they are signing into a partnership with the AVS owner solve that ? |
One of the larger avs is already starting to do this... but you cannot host their domains...Carrie for fuck sakes hosting sites and hosting domains are two different things.
Free hosted space would be on the avs systems domains... and there would be a small contract to say they are a commissioned employee therefore visa cannot say this is not an employee. The larger avs systems already have such employees LMAO Visa is solely worried that if its another webmasters site there is no way an avs system can guarantee that there will be no changes to the sites... ie all the sudden an approved site is changed to have illegal terms on it. This is actually pretty fucking funny when you look around and see all the animal sites and r*pe sites... they process with guess who? VISA AND MASTERCARD. So ummm exactly what is the point? its the same set up you have to atleast have a card to get in to see the bad stuff. I am not suggesting avs systems should allow animal or r*pe by the way. But I do ask the question why does visa feel the urgent need to control avs system sites and content? they are simply using this as a way to get more money...bet your ass there will be a movement soon to call avs systems that jumped thru the hoops already, an IPSP and therefore charge webmasters the 750.00 charge. Its all smoke and mirrors... they are not done with avs systems yet. |
Yet more fucking visa bullshit. Day in day out....
U know im gonna sell up and get the fuck out. Any takers ? email me for site lists. :( |
