stocktrader23 08-16-2003 11:59 PM

Aren't we already thanks to Bush?

apoklyptk 08-17-2003 12:00 AM

Questions like these make me have to pee.

that's not really what I had in mind, but I guess I can see it that way.

my question was more of, would you be willing to give up your freedom to maybe remove him?

Carrie 08-17-2003 12:01 AM

What course are we talking about here?
The slow, incremental slide to socialism?

NO, the fact that if a small percentage of Florida voters had gotten off their asses our country might be very different? Have you once gave that thought a second?

:winkwink:

Fletch XXX 08-17-2003 12:04 AM

Im talking good old american style voting.

with a scope.

It seems that as technology progresses we gain knowledge, yet lose freedoms because of the abuse of that knowledge...

I thought the problem was *caused* by a bunch of Florida voters who got off their asses... and couldn't read the ballot ;)

Or how about this, Fletch:

Would you vow to stop using computers and the internet & try to get everyone else to stop using computers because that kind of technology gives more power to the tracking of efficiency in beaurocracy?

Would you be willing to do something else for income?

Well hell Fletch there's millions of folks in every state who don't bother to go vote. Just take a look at the number of people here who say it's not worth the time. (Of course there's a lot of dead people who somehow find the time and make the effort too, especially in large cities...:1orglaugh - but that just makes it worse)

Here's a question: if you could remove Bush, who would you put in his place?

Answering a question with a question always fails the test.

The Chinese are notoriously vicious with dissidents. Even when they do the executions they send the family a bill for the bullets.

The torture chambers are horrendous beyond imagination from what I've read.

Looks like they did a real number on that college student.

Bastards.

IMP^or^SNiTL.e 08-17-2003 12:21 AM

fuck no

Fletch XXX 08-17-2003 12:22 AM

I still am not sure what you're asking.
Your vision of the country's course might be far different than mine (and probably is).
But you could be talking about anything... therefore I won't answer until I know exactly what it is you're asking.

I'm not answering a question with a question - I'm simply asking you a question as a side-note to the discussion. :glugglug

*sigh*

I don't even want to look at that picture of his dead body again.

May he rest in peace and may he one day be seen as a martyr in his own country.

If this is more clear on what you're asking... then no.
I see no reason to remove Bush. I don't agree with everything he's done, but there's some stuff (such as telling the UN to GFY) that I do agree with.

Have you thought about the fact that if you remove Bush, you'll put Cheney into his place? Do you honestly think that would be better?

IMHO the only real solution to any of this lies in a Tom Clancy novel and would be a horrible tragedy - but a terrific fresh start - for the country.
