Just moved into my new house in Vegas!
 

Moving was a pain in the ass, I have bruises and cuts all over my arms but it was well worth it... hoping to hook up and party w/ some of you guys soon!

It's pretty warm out here today, but it's not uncomfortable... I actually like it.

Anyway, just thought I'd share... I have to finish unpacking

I know several people who have moved to Las Vegas in 2003. That air will kill ya! Plus, your skin dries up and you pay $1000's of dollars on body cream. Barren land,..sand blowing all over the place, and A/C a must with high electric bills!

Tell us something good about LV other than no state tax.

Las Vegas is a fucking dump.

I hate it here.

Most everyone's yards look like the worst yard you'd find in a trailer park in most other states...no grass or it's burnt all to shit.

On most days it's too hot.

We have to freeze our bottles of water so when you leave the house to run errands it isn't luke warm in about 10 minutes.

So many fucking people walking and no one knows how to use a crosswalk. Which is why this city rates #1 in pedestrian deaths.

The highway system sucks it takes almost 15 minutes just so I can get on a fucking highway around here.

Cost of living is higher, but the standard of living is much lower.

They don't have enough doctors here, they have a shortage of paramedics there is actually a medical crisis here.

The schools are decent, but they just do not have enough teachers.

Billions coming in a year to these casinos but they fight like a motherfucker to keep it from going back into the state.

The only thing Vegas is good for is "The Strip." That's it. And with the proliferation of casinos around the nation that'll be debateable sometime in the future.

In fact it's already having an effect on the economy here.

The #4 casino is not even in Vegas according to an article in the local rag about a week ago.

Fuck Vegas, my goal is to be out of here when my lease ends next July.

I'd rather fly in for the conventions than live in this shithole town.

Las Vegas has always been fun when you go there to see your favorite performer or a porn convention. Living in LV is a different story.

Many do not know what you just pointed out. There is a medical crisis in LV. Doctors are leaving. Crime is up! Prices are more than you should have to pay. Hotels are having financial problems so they are taking down the *family signs* and putting up new ones like *erotic*- *adult dreams* - etc.

eros, I hope you find a new location soon. Why do these people congratulate TICAL? He left San Francisco to move to LV. My God, northern Calif is the closest you can get to heaven!

I hope you will be happy in Las Vegas. I grew up in the midwest and got really sick of corn fields, humid summers, and cold winters. Now when I go back, I enjoy everything except the hot buggy summers.

Many celebrities enjoy Las Vegas and have homes there. I heard Celine Dion can't fill the Caesar's Palace concert hall. These people are not worth what they are paid. $20 million for a movie! Give me a frigging break! Even ARNOLD & Cruise aren't good enough for that kind of cash.

LOL I'm quite surprised that anyone would leave NoCal to come to a desert. :)

My goal is to get back to the west coast by next summer, if not California, then Oregon or Washington.

I need grass and trees :)

A great place to visit... but you wouldn't want to live here very long.

LOL...it has it's moments.

There is good food here and cheap.

You can find a 160z tbone for $5.95 or a 20oz porterhouse for $4.95.

I like going to the movie theaters in the casinos especially at Sam's Town.

They are rarely crowded and Sam's Town imo has one of the nicest theaters around.

But other than that, I can't think of much else.

One thing that has made it bearable...we go swimming just about every single day.

Got 4 large casinos here in Fresno or within 30 to 45 min's that I know of, one I like a lot and every time I've gone the dam thing is packed. One just opened think it was 300 million to build with Hotel.

Take a look at Reno, Sparks or Carson City, I'm going 2. I know the last time I visited they were building like mad 2 1/2 years ago.
Heck I bet BoomTown has house's next door by now.

I think it was one of the Station casino's in Fresno that was rated #4 in the nation at this point.

After my leg grows back together me and him are starting a new biker gang here

I just moved about 3 weeks ago into a new place... (pics are located here )

We also have a place in vegas that we go to on occassion. My dad goes out there quite often but we only get to go a couple times per year. It's nice out there, but for me I cannot stand living there full time. Just too hectic, which is why we moved into the country :)

I like the peace and serenity of the country and not having to deal with people who have their heads up their asses on the freeway.

what side of town do you live on?
North Las Vegas? East side? There are some very nice parts of town and some very shitty ones - as with any city

the school district hired 1600 new teachers for the new school year, crime...none in my neighborhood

yards, I am i a home owners association, I also have a lawn service that comes out every week and take care of my yard. Everyone in my area takes care of their yards, but then we are all home owners.

Cost of living is higher then what? the midwest... its alot lower then california or new york.

You dont have a state tax because the casinos pay for it, what do you want them to do, pay your federal taxes also.

what highway system dont suck, drive to los angeles and see what suck really means.

Vegas isnt a dump, maybe your part of town is. Try visiting summerlin, seven hills, the lakes and other areas of town.
