I feel sooo sorry for the poor terrorists.

Imagine how fustrating this was for the poor terrorists who caused the eastern seaboard blackout. They expected everyone to panic and shiver and for it to be a bigger disaster than 9/11. The media gets out there that it was just a big screw up and everyone had a party and is sayign they want it to happen AGAIN!

all that work and planning for NOTHING. booo hoooo

I loved all the news articles that came out the next day with the headlines where Bush announced that the US needs a more modern electrical infrastructure. How perceptive of him.

I like how Bush keeps referring to this as a rolling blackout. The fucker just went DOWN... there was no rolling about it.

umm, no - it WAS a rolling blackout. and I'm not a big bush supporter but he makes enough fuckups in his speachs so why not find something real rather than make yourself look like a fool and point out one of the rare times he was correct.

Ummm....I just heard the blackouts were most likely caused by 3 failed transmission lines in Ohio.

Gemini 08-16-2003 11:51 AM

We just need to stop CD and his cut-throat gang of Canuckleheads to stop swimming thru anything that resembles lakes and cricks with their d*mned extension cords and we'd not have had that happen! The swim over and plug in and no one can stop crashes like that!! lol

Oh and it WAS rolling... we watched it roll toward our area also. slowly but AEP was on top of things and cut loose the connections before it overtook us too. And they had the time to see it coming. It would have gotten even more serious if it hadn't been stopped. 5 more States I think it is.

Then you would have seen the old tagline:
Too hot to handle and too cold to hold in the forefront! (Oh yeah WE have generators. Ooops)
