How do you make a site like isgay.com?
 

How do you make a site like this:?

http://john.smith.isgay.com/
http://firstname.isgay.com/
http://firstname.lastname.isgay.com/

I know how to read the URL with a PERL script, but how do you make catchall subdomains?

Its a two part process.

1. Setup a wildcard dns entry.

2. In apache use the directive (forget what its called right now) to match on wildcard expressions and redirect to your main site.

3. add 92348 exit consoles like that fuckin site

...sorry I have Google's Beta toolbar which blocks popups, so I never noticed the popup hell on exit.

I set this up on my system, and it works. But I noticed an error and I check isgay.com and it has the same error. Check this out:


These go to different page:

These go to the wildcard page:

http://john.smith.isgay.com/
http://jane.doe.isgay.com/


These do NOT work (becuase of the ".www.isgay.com":

http://asdf.www.isgay.com/
http://put.anything.here.www.isgay.com/


Why? How can I make this work?
