I have about 10 000 posts + on all board combined that I posted too ... I'm here since the start and I don't really post often . Does that mean I'm a noob ... hrmm ... My old tgp was higher than zilla on sextracker for a while so I don't think I'm a noob because I don't have many posts

Depends upon the circumstances.

If you are a true newbie, just started in this biz i the last couple of months well then post count does have a bit to do with it.

In other words if you had been around posting for the last year or so you might have developed relationships biz/personal that you could use.

But today if you jumped into GFY had 50 posts and virtually no name in this biz and stated you had an idea and needed people to invest a bunch of cash you would probably get nothing but the brush off.

Even if you posted a serious question you migt be lucky to get an answer.

Now let's say you're a marginal player who has been in this business for the past 3 years.

You decide to register at GFY and you use a nick that doesn't really inform the masses who you are.

You come on the board and start up posts, you might catch some of the heat.

In fact I've seen threads where people who've been in this biz maybe a year call a veteran a noob *based on post count* and then someone posts later who they really are, and the real noob realizes his/her mistake.

But overall I think people will judge you on your board behaviour...regardless of how many posts you have or don't have.

i don't give a shit if one has a lot of posts or if he hasn't.

I think posts/day is equally as interesting as post count, it all depends how long someone has been a member of GFY

bah...here's my take on it...joking aside...you can trust someone if you have a bit of time talking to them and see that they are not BS...

BS is easy to spot. Of course, you can get ripped off from nice people, etc...that's a different story

if anyone wants it, I'll write a little posting/day spider...maybe kind of a quality of life index for gfy....

I think you should have at least 100 posts before being allowed to start a thread.

It depends....there are a lot of idiots with a couple thousand posts and there are some brilliant creative minds with under a 100...something I've found is that a lot of the "players" who have less than a 100 posts here only post here to make announcements about their program..

I've been criticized a few times for being a newbie because of my low post count. Funny though, they never see the registration date just above it.

Either way, people should be treated on a person-by-person basis. I've seen low-count idiots and sages and I've seen high-count sages and idiots. Doesn't mean a damn thing.

(... But then a low-count person like myself would say something like that, wouldn't he?) :)

Under 100 posts and chances are about 50% that someone's just here to spam icq numbers, email lists, hitbots or proxy lists. After that, postcount doesn't matter.
