CA Gov. Recall

Have not been following this on gfy so if this is a repeat...sorry

Ok.. here is my 2 cents...

This is a good thing... I think ALL politicians should be held responsible for their actions and their promises during their campaign.

These politicians need to know that if they do not do the job they were hired to do or promised to do... then like any other employee, they should be fired.

Afterall, these politicians are working for "us, the taxpayer".

Thanks for listening...

PS - I also think that anyone from each party should be allowed to run for president.... why only 1 person from each party? Let them all run and take their chances....

dr00 08-14-2003 03:57 PM

I don't see how you can hold one man responsible. First it the legislature that pass all budget measures. So don't even think that Governor Davis is completely responsible. And this whole recall campaign has been financed by a rich republican. So in my opinion this recall is a joke. California is in debt millions and millions and this recall vote is going to cost even more. So instead of doing a recall we should wait until the next election. And to get a recall vote it only requires 12% of the voting population of the last election. And this 12% has to be split up among several districts. This whole thing is a joke.

Its ironic that Arnold made a movie called Total Recall

kmanrox 08-14-2003 05:03 PM

arnie for prezz!!!

Alky 08-14-2003 05:05 PM

they are not promising when they say things, this is what they want to do.

don't vote for someone you don't have faith in.

Just_Dave 08-14-2003 05:06 PM

its getting out of control

JoeS 08-14-2003 05:07 PM

I'm voting for Arnold! Anyone can do better than Gray Davis!

Plus Arnold is pro choice, pro gun control and pro public schools.

He's hired Warren Buffet to advise him on financial matters.
If he cuts taxes on small business and does something about illegal immigration this state has a chance after all.

I said cut taxes on small businesses. Many large corporations are getting away with paying no or very little taxes while small businesses and the middle class are getting chased out of the state. We need fair and balanced taxes Mr. Baddog. When people have lower taxes they will expand their businesses and hire more people putting more money on the streets and in turn attracting more business to the state. The debt did not grow overnight and will not go overnight.

We need a governor that can stand up to the Senate and not sign bills that spend money we dont have.

Joe

Davis stands up against the California legislators more than Bush stands up against the Republican house and senate.

Are you a Bush supporter sharing this wisdom?

SkyWalker 08-14-2003 05:25 PM

Arnold can't be president.
You cut taxes to broaden the tax base, increasing revenue.
jeezus

JoeS 08-14-2003 05:26 PM

No I am not a Bush supporter. I'd recall him too!

about 10% of the state's spending is discretionary, the rest is because of propositions that the people on in their elections.

I love how people constantly vote to pass different propositions and never seem to stop and wonder where the hell the money is going to come from.

Then they decide they want to spend another $30 million to have some bullshit recall election that has the makings of a great made for TV movie

I have NO ideal if you live in California,, I do.. Davis **LIED**
when he was running for his 2nd term. He Said we were in debt
for 10 Billion (NOT MILLION), after the he was elected we found out it was 38 billion (NOT MILLION).

No this recall is NOT a Joke the bastard should loose his job. If I could I'd drive up to Sacramento and fire the
Bastard. He also Tripled my TAXes on my vehicles TRIPLED. Now that may not be much to you but, Example one
of my pick-up was already $400.00 just one 'em. Tripled that.

The JOKE is Davis and all the dam Left Wing ass holes that elected the stupid Ass Wipe. My god dam power cost me
more than in any other state, because Davis signed contracts with power companies (still secret) and the courts (we had
2 sue the bastard) he doesn't have to release 2 the public what is in the contracts.

Grey Davis is an Ass Wipe and should be deported 2 New York.

Grey Davis has a god dam pin and the last time I check he could write. As in VETO.

30 million dollars is a drop in the bucket compared to all the millions and billions lost and wasted by this shitty Governor and Senate. He grew the size of government massively then failed to make any adjustments when the tech bubble burst.

Anyone who cant take a state this beautiful with this much talent and resources and turn a profit must have graduated from the California schools. Prop 13 is history stop whinning about it already and come up with some solutions maybe? What do you want to do raise taxes?

Anyone that's for firearms is killer in my book. I own a registered firearm and live in Las Vegas and I've had to draw my weapon on a couple of occasions! Never do graveyards in gas stations in vegas, EVER! Work at McDonalds or something, it's alot safer. Better yet, do porn!

Yes indeed....

Someone said that not one man is responsible... true... we recall everyone who is not doing their job... not just the one man.....

Afterall... they have fun and waste OUR tax dollars.. when they run out of $$$ who pays... we do with more taxes.

Fuck these assholes.... they need to learn that they are there to do a job... not party on our tax dollars.
