Consumption Junction Pics And Copyright
I assume that the pics are not copyright to CJ, Rotton.com etc
They put a watermark in, but would I (anyone) have the same rights to use them as those sites? Any ideas? Thanks |
Pretty sure you could start your own version of cj or rotten.com

Cmon Rick, if you are going to take peoples property, use it without their consent, and not compensate them one dime, just say so. Public domain. Fucking hysterical. |

I just liked it with fewer ads. But I understand, a site like CJ is very profitable and the word of mouth spreads very well for you. I also have the feeling that you used to post more sicker shit years back, then again it might be that I became immune to the most stuff. hehe No worries, I still am visiting it regularly and will keep on doing it. Actually I don't understand why I haven't advertized on CJ yet, hmm. :winkwink: |

I remember the post on the frontpage years back when the owner (whoever that is, you?) complained about the bandwidth charges. lol If the US laws pose a threat, get some dutch servers and expand the variety. :thumbsup |

First, that is NOT how you have always operated. In the beginning, you used a lot of content that you had no legal rights to use. Secondly, to this part of your operation, I say bullshit. When we sue people, I usually don't go to court. In the beginning, I did because I wanted to get a feel for what goes on. On one of our cases, the lawyer for the defendant said pretty much the same thing you just said. The judge responded with the following: "While it may be true that your client was not aware that the plaintiff owned the content in question, at all times during the process, your client was WELL AWARE of who was NOT the owner of the content in question, HIM." If you have so many paid ads, and so much legal content, why screw around with the rest of it? Your use of the term "public domain" when discussing certain content on your site is what I object to. The overwhelming majority of content that you call public domain, is in fact, NOT. |

Rick that's hilarious, do they really sing their national anthem in English?
The bottom line is that it's easy to rip a site. there are enough bangbus bites out there, I know. but that doesn't mean your sites' gonna be worth a shit. The true value in a site like CJ's is their traffic. CJ customers are loyal, they love their porn, and they don't mind paying for it. If you want to try copying their site, more power to you. CJ's got my support, as long as they never post those pics of me that one time where I was hanging and uhhh ...

|
JMM, are you trying to chase Rick away??
He hates it when people bring up those pesky copyright laws. I find it very IRONIC that people who have profited from violating copyrights, would probably have the biggest cow if webmasters from GFY started taking all their adult content and putting it on their sites. Copyright theft is wrong - period!! The only thing CJ can do is justify, make excuses and try to BS it all away. |

By the way, we don't get content at all. It is all submitted by fans. Read our terms of service |

but You should consult with a copywrite/trademark/licensing attorney to explain to you the difference between public domain and copywrited materials. especially after putting a watermark (your website addy) on every movie ect. you guys use. 99% of the stuff on your site is not public domain dude. |
Rick I am not 2 faced. I am honest. I have been calling you out on copyright issues since DAY ONE!! What you do is violate copyrights. It is a moot point if I like you personally or not. I have spent thousands protecting my Copyrighted images. ( I am sure you protect YOUR copyright images as well)
Business is business. I do business with people who I do not necessarily like all the time. If you do not want to send to my program, no problem, we have done well in this industry for the past 8 years... I think we will manage. As far as the dollars.com thing. I held back my opinion publicly on this "amazing patented system" in deference of our relationship, and those with T. If you want me to critique dollars.com publicly, and post feedback I got from others about it, I would be more then happy to go into it. But you may want to think long and hard on it, because those who have been around for a LONG time see right through it. |

Come on, you can do better. This is the arguement some punk had a few months ago when I sued him in Federal Court. The judge did not buy it either. |
