Acacia isn't the only company to worry about..
There are several companies out there with patents covering digital audio/video and streaming audio/video.
I just put up a new article and links for SightSound. They are currently suing CDNow/BMG. Their patents claim that they have invented the process or method of downloading paid audio/video clips. Free downloads, like at MP3.com, waved aside the SightSound patents, but, there is a possibility that SightSound could try to extend their reach by saying that members of a paid site, could fall under their patents. While Acacia is the major battle right now for the Adult Industry, it only illimunates that there is really a war going on right now, a war to who "owns" digital audio/video and streaming audio/video.
