Portfolio, Designs, ANYONE?
 

hello all, We are making a site to show all of you webmasters our work, however we want to make a portfolio with maybe 3-5 "test" sites, just for you to view, to see the work we can do, is it permitted to use any content you want off the internet for a portfolio as long as you are not selling it, is there restrictions to using the photos in our portfolio, do we need consent, please get back to me, as we plan on bringing the gfy board the best designs around!

any "designer" that doesn't understand basic copyright law does not deserve the title of designer.

You are talking about stealing content for commercial use. Regardless of whether or not you are selling it or not, you are talking about using it for commercial gain indirectly.

That's theft.

ok there, thats the reason for posting the question, I wasnt sure, I have never designed a porn site before, never needed to know about content, and yes we are very skilled web designers, our skills include:

FLASH
Photoshop
Paint Shop Pro
Bryce 3D
3D studio max
Dreamweaver
Etc. so and so forth


just cause we dont know the basic copyright rules doesnt mean we are not designers, thats what the question was for!

by the way, we are going to do a free site for someone in the upcoming week, splash page and 3 tours etc package. stay tuned!

just because you know how to use some software apps does not make you a "skilled" designer.

not intentionally harsh.... just truth. I know how to paint a wall. Does that make me a skilled interior decorator?

lol yeah I guess so, we have designed alot of sites before, but porn seems the best way to go, we own a gaming site for online gamers that play games such as battlefield1942, counter-strike etc., gets over a million hits a month (which I know is not alot, some porn sites probably get that in a day), but it produces results somewhat and we build custom maps, mods (games on the games current engine) etc. but we are now taking our skills to this industry and I know alot try and most fail, but with the right determination, we'll be on top of our games, and good luck to both of you, hope you all are already doing good with your designs, sites you own, etc.

If you don't publish the works you produce, you can use any photos you want.

However if you want to be able to freely display and / or sell any of it you should work out a deal with a good content provider. Its kind of a tough time to be selling "turn key" sites I think, but people are always doing redesigns and needing new ideas brought to life.

Email me some links to some of your work. Maybe I can hire you for some things I need done.
I can supply you with a pretty good variety of content for sample works as well.
