overture sucks - traffic
 

overture has new rules that does not allow an advertiser to link to any gambling nor escort sites. So if you, like me uses a search engine as an exit with links to that sort of content, they will refuse to accept you as a client. On top of this, if you go to www.overture.com and enter gambling or escort in their search box you will find tons of listings, but this is apperently ok coz it is not paid listings, they come from inktomi... how fucked up is that?

Do anybody else have "funny" times with them... coz they do my head in...

And another matter, anybody with traffic from norway for sale?

I gave up with them a long time ago when they first turned into anal idiots that were almost impossible to deal with, long before they even became overture.

Thankfully Google are much easier to use so bollox to overture :)

Umm, no links to casinos? They were getting $37 a click last time a checked. No matter how shitty it is to deal with casino affiliates, surly its work sticking at it for > $30 A CLICK!

Hell, if I make 5 cents a click I feel like Roman Abramovich.

The gambling and escort rules aren't new. Overture has had those rules since 2000 atleast.

The escorts rule has been in place for nearly 2-3 years now. The casino's isn't true, I just did a search on Overture there for 'online casinos' and the number one bid was $10.00 and then $9.31. Casino advertising is a little limited on Overture but still allowed.

I don't know about escort sites, but you're way wrong about casinos. You can still use Overture for gaming sites as long as the search term is relevent. Do you really think they're is going to bite the hand that feeds them? They make so many millions from us casino guys it's not even funny, all in the name of market share. That's why them and Google represent at our conventions, and not the porn ones.
