how many of you designers check your work?
 

i'm just curious, it seems like there's a lot of people that don't check their work for cross-browser compatibility. IE can put up with an awful lot of code errors before a page breaks, whereas mozilla-based browsers are much more strict. i've noticed a lot of pages lately from all sorts of designers that don't work in mozilla. i'm not saying i'm perfect by any means, but i usually try and check everything.

we always check our designs in different browsers before using them ,good policy to do so!

I do Mozilla + IE + Netscape.

it's interesting how many people don't, however. i've been noticing a lot of pages with small aesthetic errors in the code. mostly it's just whitespace errors, and stuff like that, but when you have a graphic split up into tables, it kinda ruins the flow :(

you know what else designers don't seem to check much lately? spelling and punctuation! i have seen masses of rather expensive looking paysites with horrible misspells and also very common is the misuse of the ' (apostrophe) in plurals.

Because, nowadays, many people outsource their design work to offshore companies... Mostly people in India who can't spell English very fluently.
