Are you kidding? Of course the Army uses the internet and have specialized units that do a multitude of tasks.
Consider that armies generally get the cream of technologies years before they are released to the public and in some cases there is an attempt not to reveal new tech to public, it's not the other way around. |
that could be fun job :Graucho

I can't comment much about the US Army, but I can comment on the Navy - they do have such a department. I know this as a fact.
|
Actually the Army has been doing that for years, the American military is very advance in terms of internet and war games, basically all new technology.
|
wouldn't be fun at all, the Army has spent millions and millions of dollars figuring out how to take the fun out of everything! Trust me on that one :Graucho

Its no different then your typical $50 war simulation computer game,
its just that the military's verison is just around a few billion dollars more |

The military funded everything,, it was called DARPA project i believe, The whole theory behind it was if a nuclear bomb hit New York, then people would still be able to communicate by rerouting it to other networks |

the military was nice enough to allow the schools to use it later on which led up to the internet we now have... and the US military now has a totaly diffrent private internet. |
