I don't have any tats or piercings other than my ears but I remember my friend set me up on a blind date that I did NOT want to go on, and she wouldn't take no for an answer. It really depends upon where you get them. Yes, they all sting somewhat, but if you get them in a place where there's a lot of meat they don't hurt as much. If you get your tattoo over a bone, (READ: ankle, shoulderblade, spine, or sensitive areas like inner wrist/thigh) it hurts like hell.
