ATK bans the word 'teen'

fuck... i have a feeling many other sites will follow. i don't really mind, its just annoying to have to make all these changes...

We would like to announce a few policy changes in respect to the ATK Cash program. Please do the best
you can to adhere to implement these changes as soon as humanly possible. We've been advised by our
attorneys that these changes represent a positive and proactive step in avoiding future interference
by the US government. These changes are going to be required of ALL webmasters, regardless of
geographical location and their local laws.

1) We are now going to take the federal 18 U.S.C. 2257 law one step further and require that all web
pages used to promote our sites be linked to our U.S.C. 2257 documentation. If you use our free
promotional content, each page that our content appears on must link to the URL below with a text
link labeled "Images on this page appear courtesy of ATK. Click here for 18 U.S.C. 2257

2) We're also asking that all affiliates cease using the word ?teen? to promote ATK. Any pages that
contain our content must not use the word "teen" in the text of the page, title of the page, mets
tags, comments, or anywhere else in the html code. No graphics used on these pages may display the
word "teen" nor can any links that lead to our sites. We realize this particular change may not sit
well with many of you, but there is good news! Each of our sites, as well as our larger affiliates'
sites, have been free of the word "teen" for almost a year now, and we have seen absolutely no
negative impact on sales. A few terms we suggest to replace "teen" would be Coed, Coeds, College
Girls, or to state "18 - 23 Year Old Models". If you have any of our older banners that still contain
the word "teen" on them, please go atkcash.com, log in, and replace them immediately. We feel very
strongly that the use of the term "teen" will come under increased scrutiny in the future.

We would like to see everyone in compliance with these changes within the next month. We will be
checking with the majority of you personally over that time to ensure compliance. If you have any

search engines work on keywords, and as long as they do and as long as hundreds of thousands of surfers type in "teen" into their search engine of choice that will be a valuable and relevant keyword.

The adult business has been using the word "teen" since before the internet and it is perfectly legal and ethical. The most popular porn girls are teens.

ATK is the smartest organization in this entire business. They will be around as long as there is an Internet. And not a dime of their money was made by cheating anybody, no spamming, no hustling - just put out a quality product and treat people as they would want to be treated.

From what i heard the Video companies have been staying away from titles with the word Teen on it.

Giving in at the first sign of trouble is almost never the best policy. Some of these CC companies are trying to see how far they can push adult. It's one thing to make them push, it's another to over react and give in before the fight even starts.

If everyone had your attitude in the past, the adult industry would not exist today.
