Why Do Cats..........
Why in the hell do cats insist in going into the bathroom or making a nuisance of themselves until you let them in? They get all happy and purring excited, and I have no idea why cuz it can get real stanky if'n you filled the bowl.
|
I have absolutely no clue....but, you notice how they give you the death-look if you even sneak a peak when they're in doin' their biz?
Hehehe :) |
They think your a magician.
See the shit. Now you don't. It's like David Lane or something ;^)) |
Sweetums, Your sneak peeks at your cats deficating?
:Buck: :Buck: :Buck: :Buck: |
both me and my cat shit outside so its not much of a problem.
|
PornDaddy....I lived with cats for a few years....actually they were SexyScribe's kitties. Once they've done it to you a few hundred times you kinda feel like getting back at them :)
By the way....can you add me to your ICQ please...been wanting to talk to you since we got back from the show :) 114549321 |

Do you do the whole kick-and-cover-up thing? hehehe :) |
my cat always comes in and just sits there. then she wants out, and when im shittin - thats not an option.
|
LOL, real cute. Cats seem to have this fascination with having to be in the bathroom with you, and God forbid you shut the door and leave them out.
Some say its because your sitting there and they can have your full attention and that excites them. I disagree, when I sit on the step in my garage to smoke, my cat lies a foot away and cannot be bothered and could have all my attention. Surely, several of you have cats that love to be in the bathroom with you. |
i love cats when they do the purring thing :)
|
"captive audience"
they know you arent gettin up going anywhere so now's a perfect time for a good petting! :winkwink: |
Exactly, with the captive audience thing. My cat knows I ain't going anywhere, so she can get all the ear-skritches she wants.
And now, she has her bowl-bed in there...I was sick a few days ago and had a big stainless steel mixing bowl by the potty to puke in while I was on the can if I needed to, and she's adopted that as her bed. I go in to crap, she curls up in the big bowl and rolls around and looks cute...I don't have the heart to take it away from her. :) |
:eek7

When I was little we had a cat like that...of course this cat didn't use a litter box...it used the toilet just like humans!!!
For reals...would flush the toilet and everything! |
I have seen training things at the pet stores to teach cats to flush the toilet. I don't think I want my cat to do that.
Thats my space! She has her box in the garage and a petdoor leading out to that. Problem is she won't use her box if I take the boat out, she has to have the boat in the garage to potty. GO figure. She is definately strange. |

Well its nice to know its not just me then and this cat fetish mine has. Do you think because the space is small they feel more of that captive audience thing vs. being alone with you in a big open room.
Your right, they do purr strong in the bathroom, and mine sometimes lays on my feet. Lately she has this shoe fetish too, and shoes make her real happy, she loves them lately. She almost acts like they are another pet in the house, purrs, tumbles on them, tries to stick her whole face inside the shoes, sleeps on them etc... Why she doing that all of a sudden? |
Lee our two cats are just as strange. The oldest male likes to do bathroom leg rubs (He's the real anti-social one) and he will lay on the hubbies feet in there. Likes to do the paw under the door reaching for something that only he knows about when you shower. lol
And the kitten that adopted me last year? He will come in, do the tub and then look at you. Sometimes he takes extreme care to center himself on the drain. Thankfully he reserves the catbox for the solid parts. :D But he loves to watch the water in the bowl. He moves his head around in circles until he's dizzy. And if he gets in when you are in the shower, he perches on the tub in the back corner and watches your every move. Disconcerting to say the least. lol |
I gotta pee sittin down if the cat's in the house. If you stand and he's in the house he'll try to paw at your stream.
Q- What does a bad natured 35lb wildcat play with? A- Pretty much anything he wants to- |
i have no idea:thumbsup

My cat is the same way. Opens doors, sticks his paw under the door and pounds the hell out of it if it's closed until you let him in. Then just sits there looking around like "Oh... so THIS is what it looks like in the bathroom!" Even though his litter box is in there as well and he's been there a million times.
He also doesn't like to eat alone. Very social thing, he is. This week while I've been away housesitting has nearly killed him with loneliness. I stopped back by my house to pick up some things and hubby went outside while I went to the bathroom. My cat thought I had left and was just howling and crying at the door, broke my heart. He never meows or cries like that, usually just squeaks like a mouse. The least amount of effort required to get our attention, lol. But this time he was just CRYING. Can't wait to get back to him and give him some good lovin'. |

He's part siamese though, so I guess he's entitled to be a little wacky. http://www.ellinude.com/bio/mini-Dicken08.jpg |

cat's are real big on smells.... so considering your shoes pick up ALL types of scents, animal, human, food on the ground, etc etc etc... cats will always be interested in shows and the scents coming from the shoes. Most often they smell another animal on your shoes and will mark your shows as their "territory" by rubbing the scent glands by their gums on your shoes (thats why cats rub their faces on shit, it leaves their "mark") |

Also when the wifey gets home, and cleans his box and sweeps the floor, he immediately runs into the bathroom, takes a dump, and flings cat litter all over the floor again.. NIGHTLY!!!! Media |
cats are here to drive people crazy trying to understand them.
|
I am cracking up reading this thread - my cats do all of the above!
The second I enter the bathroom, they appear - rubbing their heads on my legs, sitting on my feet - even nipping at my ankles if I am not giving them enough attention! The quickest way to get them out, is to turn on the blow-dryer! LOL. =^..^= |
my cat actually gets in the shower....little did he expect the youngest one to trap him in there and take a shower..hahahahahaha. He said the cat just layed there till the shower was over.. he was clean and was one way to avoid givng him a bath myself..,,:1orglaugh

I feel so much better knowing others have children that do quirky things like Sassy does, I was wondering if she needed a therapist or something.
I got her when she was a year old as a private adoption from a vet. She is a mutt, she is part siamese and tortoise, her seal points are all marked as a tortoise. She has it made in the shade, when we go grocery shopping I have Oscar Meyer Fat Free weinies in the wagon for me, and perdue chicken breasts boneless for her. Something is wrong with this picture! She eats better than I do. http://www.leenoga.com/pix/sassy.jpg |
