2% is a good ball park figure.

Further research shows out of those usually 1% will be chargebacks while the remaining 1% are consumed by refunds.

So you mean anyone who pays say 35.00 per trail sign up is losing there ASS..?

trials suck. quality sites that offer full-membership only are always going to generate more revenue IMO.. :2 cents:

I am presently at 46% retention with the average webmaster staying almost 5 months, but then again I don't cross sell them anything or try and sell them anything after they join. All I give them is exactly what is on my tours and run an honest website.

If the paysite owner's only revenue was from the $3 trial and the $30-$40 rebill then yes they'd lose their ass at $35 a trial.

Add in exits, email addresses, cross sales, and upsells, and there's some profit to be made.

Oh, average I hear is around 30% from trial to monthly these days.
