Anyone ever had Appendicitis?
 

Anyone here ever had Appendicitis? My lower stomach area on the right just a tad bit shy of my belly button is giving me some pain when I get up from sitting down or turn my upper body to around a bit. Thought I just had the shits but that isn't the case. Anyone know of the symptoms for it or had it before?

Ya I was lucky enough to get that a few years ago, the pain was like no other (except maybe child birth but that is for a different post) BRING ON THE MORPHINE!!
For me it started out same feeling pain in the stomach, in the center and then the lower right side, trick is to watch for a fever, that is probably a sure sign to head to Emerg. I started feeling pain around 10pm on a Wednesday night and by the same time Thursday night the operation was all over!!

Get that check out b/c it might burst on u, then u need emergency surgery!!

If it gets worse I'll go to the hospital, hopefully I can wait it out tell after my exam tomorrow... don't wanna miss that so summer school wasn't for nothing.

Yep had it when I was 39 yrs old, won't have that problem again.

Mine bursted while in the hospital. i thought I had a virus, since I was just backed from Columbia a few days earlier.

They had to rush me to operation room, after I " signed" a consent. Woke up the next morning, weak as hell. Had to be reoperated because it got infected. Stayed 10 days in the hospital. They could not close the opening with stiches, only with tapes, so I had this hole in the lower stomach... disgusting...


GET IT CHECKED!!!!
