MC, Visa - Definition of "Extortion and Civil Racketeering?"

Greetings:

This one is thanks to Serge.

Though it doesn't affect me directly (yet), I was wondering whether the actions taken by MC and Visa were in fact definable as in the subject.

It would seem to me that they are in positions of authority with which they hold an entire planet hostage with their ability to set any rule at any time.

ESPECIALLY when the technology to properly process credit cards online exists currently. Whether they want it built or not - the tech is there.

The exact quote from Serge in his Acacia rant (http://www.gofuckyourself.com/showth... racketeering) is: "Extortion and Civil Racketeering" law suits against them all over the globe, small claim courts with $7.95 filing fees will also do and
GET JUDGEMENTS BY DEFAULT "

I am back and forth with MC's goomba on email trying to convince it to give me a location of their policies - pointing out that their card issuers don't make the policies and so aren't getting questioned. Dishonest.

Cheers,
/Allister
