its a virus - got it on my other comp yesterday. Norton seems to have fixed it tho.

I just installed a barnd new hard drive, motherboard and processor and I put windows xp on it. One day later I got that message twice!

It pissed me off!

I belive its due the the fact you ended a proccess IE "svchost"

If you ctrl + alt + del any

Svchost.exe

It will cause the error and make you restart.

It's an exploit...gives the person connecting to you a dos prompt on your computer. So it isn't in itself a virus but they could download/run crap on your computer and start viruses if they wanted.
