the only movie that comes close to how hackers work is matrix 2 reloaded. when titney fired up nmap and ssh'd the power plant control systems then ran something what is called sshnuke against it. Now someone did their fucking homework at hollwwood studios or were ever it was filmed

you want good hacking in movies, in the matrix reloaded, trinity uses an actually secureshell security loophole from 1999 to hack in the computer at the end of the movie when the other's trying it died.

Sneakers was pretty good. Factoring large numbers into their component primes is the holy grail of hacking. Social engineering was also demonstrated quite effectively also.
