Any suggestion from you guys?

completely different question bud

i think there isnt anyone here who can answer that, and i have a gut feeling that says we are in for some serious changes, even worst than we have seen.

good luck though .... we will all need it

Hi,

I have the same, thinking about getting my own merchant account as well....

This seems to be the "I got screwed by Visa regulations because I'm not an American" thread. So, I'll pipe in.. Hi.

Epassporte is an option for you, from what I've heard from people using them, not a whole lot of transactions go through them, and personally, the contract is something I'm not comfortable signing.. So we won't be using them anytime soon.

I have corrispondence going with Netbilling, though it isn't looking very promising, I can't seem to get the information I need to make an informed decision. But I know more then I ever wanted to about their company and their scrubbing! :1orglaugh Hopefully they'll get back to me with what I need today.

Stormpay will probably go the way of Paypal sooner or later, sooner if Visa finds out people are using them freely!

I really don't know a good option for us non-Americans, I guess we're to be punished for not being born with a SSN.

Anyone got a line on INFORMATION as to USA merchant account requirements for non-Americans? I need to know which way I'm going to need to bend before I bend that way.....

I wish more 3rd party processors were in tune with content providers needs, but no, they're built with the membership site in mind. Very upsetting.

Try them

<a href="https://www.globosale.net/reseller_forward.jsp?f_pa_wm=4978" target="_blank">Globosale</a>

They may be what you are looking for.

globoSALE commissions
Our commission for all payment options 12%

Transaction fees (will be directly charged to your customers)
Additional transaction fee $ 2.95 / ? 2.95 / CHF 2.95

Ouch.

Edit: Shitty.

Do you have a shopping cart for purchases of physical goods?

No. globoSALE.net only sells passwords for membership services. The system can not be used for the sale of anything other than a globoSALE.net password.

Master_Yoba 08-06-2003 08:20 AM

Hey Nydal,

and you too ?

Remember this topic I had the participation

MultiCards Is Out of Biz ?

As for replacement I can find StormPay, ePassporte and wire transfers direct only

Maybe you'll be more lucky :winkwink:

Been reading the posts for awhile and decided to log in and help answer some of this stuff.

Re Visa - the regs state that a bank can only acquire payments from merchants located within their domicile (i.e. US bank - US merchant, EU bank - EU merchant, etc) so you won't find an actual US processor that CAN sign up a Non US merchant. #rd Party and IPSP is a bit different - can explain that later if you want.

There are only a couple of banks in US that you can get an actual adult merchant account through - same with EU, Asia, etc. Most of the rest is going through all those others as have been mentioned and they all are under the scutiny of the card associations right now - no matter where they are located and if they charged a registration fee or not.

Cheers

In my opinion, all 3rd party processors will eventually close or stop processing adult.
So you can now ,for today, use an alternate situation ( epassport, stormpay, and so on - I have a bought 75 links to this kind of shit) but you must prepare for tomorrow.

When Globill went belly up, I already had my US corp, paid the 750.00 to Ibill, was already reviewed and approved by visa, etc... So I loose my money and my rebills, but I stay in business.

I use Ibill , but I think they will close down. With my US corp ( or European if you prefer), I can start now to acquire a merchant account as a US business. I also have a US accountant, that helps.

So find something for today, but work right away for tomorrow.

Good luck,.

PS: I like your stuff. I am openind a new niche and I will purchase from you soon.

True, but they allow non-adult aggregators to continue to do cross-region processing:

- Paysystems.com
- Paypal ( no adult...)
- CCnow

and If you would pay me $ 10.00 a url, I could find you another 100 of them signing up customers from all regions, while they are US based.

Open your eyes: the rules are applicated to ADULT businesses only!

own merchant account is like a pain in the ass... We dealt with it during 3 years :2 cents:

Btw, what's Charly doing now?

RonR 08-06-2003 09:40 AM

Directfiesta - Aggregators can take cross border in all categories all day long - the relationship is between THEM and THIER bank - doesn't matter where the "merchant" is and doesn't matter if its adult or not.
Don't need your URL's (thanks for the offer though) - know about em all - all playing the stupid game . . .
