Who wants a merchant account?
 

As of today I am able to offer merchant account and gateway services. The breakdown is as follows:


Visa high risk fee: $750
Merchant Account: $595
Setup: $395-$795 - depending on a number of factors
Monthly Gateway Fee: $29.95
Per Transaction Fees (AUTH and SETTLE): $0.15
Merchant Account Charge Per transaction: $3.95% - $5.95%

The math is simple: in the worst case scenario on a $29.95 transaction you get to keep $28.01.

You will receive your own descriptor as well which should eliminate a ton of billing confusion and prevent chargebacks.

Just out of curiousity is this supposed to be cheaper than gettin a merchant acct through Netbilling? They charge approx $1500 and you charge at least $1740. Educate me....i actually am interested.

The fees listed are pretty much the worst case scenario fees. A bunch of these can be lowered or even dropped depending on credit, billing history, etc.

if you have a merchant account tho, wouldnt you have to have a 800 number for billing support, etc...

Just curious... who's gateway are you reselling? Also, what about the Mastercard registration fee of $1000. What bank/ISO are you using to setup the accounts?

I have agreements with a number of banks so if one denies an application, another one might take it. This assures higher approval rate. I also use two different gateways and a third one is in the works. :thumbsup

hope you did alot of research.. anyone will say yes if you tell them it will be alot of money.. but 2 months later will tell you to get lost

There is no Mastercard fee. It might change in the future though.

What is FUD? There is absolutely a $1000 Mastercard registration fee to setup a US high risk merchant account.

Mastecard charges a $1000 only on high-risk accounts that fall into video/text category.

EVERYONE who sells adult non-tangible items including memberships and downloadables have to pay the $1000 Mastercard reg fee.

This argument is getting pointless. Your solution might be different from mine, let's leave it at that.

I have a bunch of merchant accounts myself, including high risk, and not once sold tangible goods. I never paid $1000 to MasterCard.

There is a MasterCard fee of $1500 and $1000 a year after that.

If you have not been paying the fee you are not properly classifed as high risk and could be shut down when they discover you. I urge you to check with your aquiring bank before you have a hefty fine or shutdown.

Just spoke to the bank, still no fee. Should I mail the $1500 to you? :1orglaugh
