very interesting would be an under statement :glugglug

Spunky 08-04-2003 11:14 PM

I dunno..somehow I dont see Larry as Governor,Arnie probably would stand a better chance

MuleScrote 08-04-2003 11:15 PM

sweet!! :)

goBigtime 08-04-2003 11:19 PM

Wow.

I'd be real curious to see how that would turn out.

Donny 08-04-2003 11:21 PM

California is about the only place in the country where someone like Larry Flynt would even consider running for governor.

If a pro wrestler can become governor of Minnesota, why can't a pornographer become governor of the porn-producing capital of the world?

I'll vote for him. Go Larry!

MuleScrote 08-04-2003 11:24 PM

Have I mentioned how boring Iowa is?

Donny 08-04-2003 11:28 PM

California is definitely not boring. :)

imagine having Arnie talking about how bad drugs are. He has probably consumed more steroids than any other alive bodybuilder of his age.

doggiestyle_ec 08-04-2003 11:58 PM

in order to hold public office, you must first be able to clearly communicate publicly with speech. give larry a few kickers(lines), and he might have a chance.

I've done photography and/or writing for all the major print publishing houses and Flynt is the only one which always paid on time and as agreed. Although my creative interests tend to lie elsewhere, from a business perspective, Flynt knows how to get paid while still doing the decent thing. He .so has my vote. I really think he could fix California's financial woes and make this a more free and better place to live.

I think Larry Flynt would definitely fix financial woes, and would also make the state even more liberal than it already is. I think I'd vote for him just for the entertainment value of having Flynt as governor.

Unfortunately, I doubt he'll really run.

If he ends up making a serious bid for it, I think I might actually volunteer. It's been years since I was fired up enough about a candidate to be willing to give my time to a campaign.

We here at SoCalCash are all very supportive of Larry Flynt

Being residence here of California we will be placing our vote in the ballot box come this election.

Why are people ragging on Flynt now? I hate to see people ragging on Flynt and comparing his action to Arnolds.

Seriously folks, this is a guy who has lost his legs and dedicated lots of his life to Freedom of Speech, way more than some governors do.

Its ridiculous to compare the two as cartoon politics and popularity contests.

Flynt has constantly tried to push the boundaries and give christiand and politicians a run for their money, something most of which many of us only DREAM OF being able to do.

Every day of Flynts life is a reminder of how fucked this country is. SOmeone didnt believe in his right to free speech and shot him for it.

Id' say let the man run and shut your hole if you havent done anything nearly as influential in your life.

Mty only hope is that he DOES NOT bring that Nevada mentality with him.

Meaning: casinos and prostitutes are fine, but keep your marijuana out. We have a decriminalized system here and want to keep it that way. Marijuana will always be allowed in California.

Larry is the man.

AOLGuy 08-06-2003 12:40 PM

If Flynt and the rest of the California industry folks found a creative way to motivate the customer base, Larry Flynt could be the next governor. Whether it was through email and grassroots websites (like Dean is doing) or even throwing porn overtly into the mix (I want to see the whistle stop tour with Jenna and Ron Jeremy), there is an audience to tap into.

The Republican vote is going to be yes on a recall but split on the replacement, the Democrats will vote no on the recall and be lost for a replacement choice.

If you can get 500,000 people who normally wouldn't vote to cast a ballot for Larry Flynt, then he would have more single votes than just about any other replacement candidate.

The beauty of this recall farce is that 51% only need be in favor of ousting Davis, where his replacement only needs to best the competion, which many speculate could amount to 15% or less of ballots cast, given the 200+ candidates.

I personally do not see how Flynt could do that bad of a job (given California's legislature, the Governor's hands are tied on most things, which is a big part of Davis's problem).

And I absolutely LOVE what a big "fuck you" it would be to conservatives... can you imagine Bush having to meet with Governor Flynt?

And talk about a favorable environment for our business!

Donny 08-06-2003 12:53 PM

It would definitely be hilarious to see conservative Republicans oust Davis, only to see him replaced by a Porn King.

Go Larry!

:thumbsup
