Main page, tour redesign. Comments appreciated! Cum eating site........

My hubby just redesigned our main page, and tour. We like to change it a couple of times a year. Any comments/constructive criticism is appreciated!

it looks good, but it also looks like something you could do in 10 min.
Maybe you should put a little more work into the desing??

You sound like someone that believes Bangbus is real.

Newsflash: People do all sorts of things for money. They don't necessarily like the things they do.

Agreed Vasper. :)

My hubby and I are not very html savy. He uses a program called IBM homepage builder, which is a very limited program, but you don't need any html experience.

We have done well in our three years in this business using it, so we really don't see the need to change; granted we do understand it's limitations.

Looks ok to me but here are a few things I would change.

1) limit your tour to 2 or 3 pages max.
2) change the 6 pics you have at the bottom so each page of your tour looks different. and link the pics to a larger image.
3) people love examples... promote the mpg sample more and make it stand out...maybe have a few more samples...teasers... give me a reason to want to join.
4) You have alot of text and I think thats why you went with 5 tour pages but I think you should re word what you are trying to say. Make it point form.. you were starting to loose me with all the reading. If you make it point form, you can still relay the same info and cut your tour down to 2 or 3 pages.

Just my :2 cents:

um

center tags dont come into play untill here:
http://www.lorshasworld.com/tour2.htm

center from the get go....more samples and mpgs would help a lot as well....

Ice 08-03-2003 11:33 AM

In html 4.0 the center tag is deprecated. Use the div tag with the align attribute set to center.:thumbsup

Great suggestions guys; thanks! :)

My hubby will be back at the drawing board.

Not sure I understand Ice. The program we use ( Homepage builder) makes the tags automatically. Are our pages not centered? They look good when I look at them on IE, and Netscape.

Take the time to learn html code. I personally use Homesite 90% of the time and Dreamweaver 10% of the time. I find the problem with most wysiwyg editors is that they add too much erroneous code. Keep your html code clean and organized and it makes changes that much easier. :thumbsup

Ya know what, I wouldnt really change it, I like it its raw its amateurish, I bet it will do real good, only way to really tell is to send around 1k worth of traffic to it for about a week, look at ya logs to see where you are losing your surfer at, and just tweak it like that. I really do think this is good, One thing I may change is not to make the tour so long, maybe ONE tour page, But IMO I think one page sites are da bomb :)

Good luck

I honestly don't want to take the time to learn it Ice, lol. Too much going in my life as it is. We have been VERY happy with our sites success, since we started it in Sept 2000.
