dedicated/shared/colocated hosting and also we did some dsl products/private circuits and stuff like that - i sold and recommended stuff.

now im going to be getting up at 1pm and sleeping at 6am, thus perfectly synchronising my body clock with that of the US so i can be more in touch with affiliates :-)

I was half-joking but nice. We looked into that. How are you gonna manage the work permit part? That was the stumbling block for us and reason we've decided on mainland Europe instead.

where abouts are you at the moment? what nationality?

my friend/partner is going to sponsor me for a work permit, and hopefully i will get a 12 month permit which will then mean I have worked for a year in canada, giving me enough points to emigrate as a skilled worker. if i dont get the permit then i will just go over there for six months on holiday and work on my business remotely by wonder of the internet.

sucks though.. im british, we have the same queen, i should be able to wander into that country as i please! grr!

South coast and the same. Tend to agree with you - we share the same queen etc so it seems daft. Making it easy for people with a British passport to emigrate is hardly going to cause a mass exodus from the UK to Canada. Currently I would be short just a few points. Oh well.

the fact i dont have a degree is messing it up for me :-(

im putting down 12 years of education and a trade certificate. im a microsoft certified professional (dont laugh, i did it when i was 17 and thought a career in IT would be great) and im hoping that will count.

hell, you could always learn french!

You and me both. I was too stupid when 18 to realise how much taking a degree would help. I sort of saw freedom and grabbed it. I have half an OU degree but thaqt counts for nothing.

Learning French is going too far though :) It'll probably be Spain for us. Better climate, MUCH cheaper cost of living and a location that means sun and beach a few hours drive one way and snowboarding the other :)

Unfed 08-01-2003 06:27 AM

congrats :thumbsup

Doesn't stop you getting extra points if you speak it and want to move there.
