Notebooks help
My girl needs a notebook for college, she likes the HP's, specifically this one: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id=1055388014760&skuId=5617601&type=pr oduct&productCategoryId=cat01174
Question is i hear the toshibas kick ass and i have no experience with laptops. Dell is out as they don't have a local store. We need to buy one asap and then hook it up at the office so we can get it tweaked the way she likes it before she leaves. One of our office PC's is an HP and it's a Very good machine are their notebooks as good? any suggestions? |
post a pic of your girl

i think the toshibas are a pretty good system. i've used a few hp laptops, and honestly i think some of the quality has gone down a bit on the cheap ones. the higher end ones are pretty decent tho.
i'd go with the toshiba most likely. |

I just bought an ibm off of ibm.com a few months ago & it totally kicks ass.
Best buy has some good cheap ones called VPR Matrix. Those are supposed to be good too. I have a VPR Matrix desktop & it's great. |

i would say toshiba over hp

The Pavilion line is a piece of shit, as bad as a gateway.
Go Dell (India support), Compaq (speedy repairs) or Toshiba (if toshiba breaks yer fucked for weeks) Checkout compaq.com (forwards to hp but you want compaq models) for prices. |
