Question about cashing affiliate checks
 

I remember when I used to cash checks at a cash checking place and they would always ask for the phone number of your employer so they could call your place of work and verify that you work there. Just wondering what you guys do when cashing webmaster checks, it's not like we know the phone number of ARS and Maxcash off the top of our heads! Has anyone ever had this problem when cashing checks at a cash checking place? I know if your depositing at your bank, it's easy, you just wait for the checks to clear, but anyone ever have someone ask you for the phone number of all your employers, and what do you say??

Just use a damn bank, why let some punk ass place take a percentage of what you worked for to give you money.

I know it's better to use a bank, but I'm saying what IF you had to cash all your checks on time at a check cashing place??? I remember a few years ago they would ask me for the phone number for my employer (non-adult). What if they ask me again?
What should I say? "O'h it's some internet co, I don't know their #???"

And what if I have numerous checks, I'm scared they might be thinking I'm doing something suspicios, because I work for lots of companies and I don't know any of their phone numbers...

You are self-employed. Give them your own phone number. Or make one up. :Graucho

I think they would call while I am waiting to verify that I am working there, to make sure it's a legit check. No one picks up my phone except me, so it would ring indefinitely. I don't want to give false info and risk going to jail. I would never give fake info. Besides they want the # of the places who are issuing the checks to be cashed I think

Write down all your sponsors names and phone numbers on a card. Put said card in your wallet. Bring wallet with you when you go visit a rape you for cash place.

Max Cash, ARS, Adult Platinum, etc, these aren't your employers and they certainly don't want to be considered your employers. You're working as a sub-contractor.

Ok, I guess that's the only way to do it, some of the sponsors dont even have their phone #'s on their site. I am just nervous a lot when cashing porn checks, I don't know why, I feel like I am committing a crime or something. Or I'm scared if I have a lot of checks and some checks for small amounts, it just looks suspicious.

I know that, I just mean that they usually want the # of the co issuing the check if its a business check. I just used the wrong choice of words, but of course I know they are not my employers

With over a thousand posts, and cashing checks at a check cashing store. I really don't want to be and/or sound rude....but, what have you been doing?

It's personal . No I am not underage. I don't want to cash the checks at my bank because I bounced some checks and my bank
(BOA) will not cash those checks, they will use those checks to pay for all NSF (no sufficient fees) for all the bounced checks.

I would rather have the cash now, and pay of the deficit amount later because I need the cash now for something.

I usually deposit checks in my accnt at BOA. I explained in an earlier post why I have to make an exception and go to a cash checking place.

Must have racked up alot of NSF to be that concerned, did not have overdraft protection I guess huh?

OR are you operating off of 1 bank account, dropping all your business funds into ye ole personal account that you now have messed up?

i tried doing that before with a maxcash check when i was like 16 and they wouldnt cash it because it was out of state.

I typed a long ass message, my cat jumped on the fucking keyboard and erased it all. So bottom line: Get the damn phone number before you go try to cash the check. How fuckin hard is that?

Check cashing place that's like dealing with bottom feeders,either sign it over to someone,or enroll in a credit union,most banks will cash a check with just an id.LEAVE CHECK CASHING PLACES ALONE what they get like 5%

Ask your bank and have them show you how to drop your check off at the atm. Some checks on them have names that totally scream out PORN. If your embarrassed just drop them off at the ATM of your bank.

Man you guys are being pretty hard on her, it's not like she just started posting.

Here's my answer for your problem.

I'm assuming if you ARE using a check cashing place for your checks it's because the sponsor you are using is offshore. If I'm not mistaken these check cashing places don't ask for your social security number, and since an offshore sponsor doesn't send a 1099 form to the IRS there is no easy way to trace the money.

If you are using a domestic sponsor, well I'm not sure why you'd use a check cashing place cause they do take quite a big fee for their services and the IRS would know how much you earned.

If you're a member of a bank you can just as easily cash the check with no fees.

Anyway here's what I would recomend. When you goto the check cashing place, explain you are a sub contractor for these companies. They will need to make sure the check is legit, so just tell them you will give the bank phone number since you are not sure what the sponsor's phone number is due to the fact that they are Internet based.

Anyway a few of my webmasters use those check cashing places to cash offshore sponsor checks.

You have no problem writing, and then failing to cover, bad checks, but you have a sudden surge of ethics when it comes to dealing with check cashing joints...which you're using to avoid dealing with the bank you've essentially defrauded...OK.

Gawd knows I've made my share of mistakes in life, so I am going to do everything I can to temper my remarks here and simply echo the advice that has been given to me time and time again: This is a business. Treat it as such.

I would suggest you get a business paypal account and use sponsors who use it that way you never have to cash a fucking check and can withdraw from an ATM or charge as a mastercard with it.

This is going to be my last response in this thread. Anyways, I just asked a question. What I need the money for is nobody's business, but since everyone is so nosy I will just tell them, it's for rent. Ofcourse I expect to be flamed for this again, "Why don't you have money saved, blah blah blah, get out of this business".

Of course I plan on paying back my bank back as soon as I can, my personal checking account gets debited automatically every month for my isp bills, health insurance, and some other stuff, so of course I will pay it asap because I pay my bills via checking account. I did not "exactly" bounce a check literally, some co's debited my accnts automatically and I didn't have enough have funds to cover it so the fees added up (which is just as bad, I know, and I take full responsibility). I would have never even TOLD anyone on this board, but I only did because some people were implying that I was underage because I didn't have a checking account. Anyways, I'm just having some financial problems last month, I'm sure everyone has a bad month sometimes , no big deal. Let it rest already. And yes, I'm getting a real-life job soon (as people will probably say I should, since I'm having problems) so everything will be fine.

I don't have a husband thank God, and I haven't lived with my parents for 7 years, I just had a bad month, that's all. Next month I will deposit all my checks as I usually do at the ATM as usual and there will be no problem. I have definitely learned the hard way, to never ask a question on GFY, and I don't believe I ever will again.
