chargebacks....
 

everybody makes chargebacks seem so easy, but my bank is actually kind of inconvenient.

the first call i made the woman wouldn't even do a chargeback, the second person did it right away. but then i had to fill out a bunch of paperwork and send that in. they just called me and said they're giving me a "provisional credit while they settle things with the merchant". i'm not really sure what that means. i'm kinda wondering if they're going to credit me, and then if they can't settle with the merchant they take it back (?).

anyways, they did make me get a new card and closed out my old one right away.

i do agree with their policies, i especially think you should be forced to get a new card. but it's still a bitch.... and i still have no idea what a provisional credit is.. oh well.

That means you have a credit but if the merchant disputes it successfully you lost the credit. Was the charge online or offline?
