Any collectors here?

I've been doing a bit of ebay lately and am amazed at the kind of things people collect and are willing to spend money on. Do you collect anything and if you do what is your most prized item? Is there a 'holy grail' item that you are searching for?

my friend is numismatist.

i don't really see the reason to collect coins - there were billions of different coins in this world, and he's trying to get all of them at least in 1 copy...

:ticking

I collect KISS memorabilia. Started when my job was collecting memoraibila for the Hard Rock. While I was doing it for them...I started my own collection on the side.

My greatest acquisition was the band's costumes and instruments from their Psycho Circus first concert. Got to spend $200,000 of someone elses money...which means I didn't get to keep them. But...I got to meet and spend some time with the band, and got a few little souviniers (sp?) of my own.

I used to collect a lot of baseball cards, still have most of them.

The one thing I've been hunting for is a Jackie Robinson doll that I've seen in pictures that my dad had. My dad got one for Xmas long long ago when he was like 8 or 9, and I've always wanted to find one for him. He's really into sports collectables and I'm sure would freak out if I found one.

I collect football cards, player autographs, etc.

I also went through a phase of collecting the talking Simpons figures.

I have a all original 1980 Ibanez Iceman Paul Stanley Model in near mint condition.

If you know your Kiss stuff you know that they made the guitar for 4 years with a total of 1526 made and 1980 was the lowest production run making only 268.

Comes with original hardshell case, both hang tags, the locking wrench for the tuners, Paul Stanley pick from kiss alive II tour, 1980 Ibanez catalog and Paul Stanley signature strap.

The guitar has no nicks or dings at all just slight belt buckle marks on the back but not through paint. Other than that its mint. Hit me up on icq if your interested.

I have a Wayne Gretzky rookie card. I'd say that is my most prized item.

Shoes...

Shoes....

Um.... and more shoes (size 5). There's no such thing as too many pairs, IMHO. :winkwink:

i guess that I collect Pez dispensers. My mother is always sending them to me. I've finally stopped taking them out of the wrappers, so I guess that makes me a collector. I also like really kitche items..you know like the pooping raindeer keychains. The more crass it is the more I can't resist.
