If you're talking about gallery submissions, yes, I know places that add it to their banned word list.

People do that so they don't get the search engine traffic.

Instead of typing out 'lolita' they place the asterisk so google doesnt send them to the site. lolit* etc

The reasons for doing this are:

(1) a lot of sponsors will terminate your account for simply using the word 'lolita', regardless of the context.

(2) if the word 'lolita' appears on a web page it MIGHT show up on a search for 'lolita'. I don't want child molestors to find my site that way. Hell, I don't want these people on my sites at all. I want them to be in jail where they belong.

Your answer bothers me for a few reasons:

(1) Most people object to CP because it is illegal and disgusting. By adopting #1 and not #2, it tells me that your only reason for NOT using the word is because doing so could cost you money. If losing money is your ONLY motivation, then you might as well use the word and promote CP. I hear that shit converts like wildfire.

(2) Pedophiles are beyond redemption. The LAST thing you would ever be able to do is to get them to join a non-CP site. So that traffic is worthless.

(3) Trying to promote 'legal teen' sites by using CP words like 'lolita' is misleading. These people don't want to look at pics of 18 year olds in the buff. They want pics of 12 year olds.

Its called having ethics and morals. If someone comes to you trying to sell you CP images and then offers you regular images are you still gonna buy from him? Haha if you do you are just as bad as him.

Fuck people are thick. Lolita has ALWAYS inferred teenage girls under 16. It means NOTHING ELSE. Go take English at non-kindergarden level and the book the term was taken from may even make it to your required reading list. It has been used by CP sites and those after CP traffic for legal but young looking teen sites for 6 years+ that I know of. But then as Lolita was/is a pre-16 year old girl in a very well known book that is hardly surprising.

If you want to see why, look for popular search terms (not only on google, also P2P networks), normally relatively obscure, generally paired with words like young, child etc... Those are the words you should be blocking to really halt CP traffic. Lolita as a term for CP is dead.

Then when you've done that check around to see which major sites use them in their meta. You might be surprised.

Personally I can see value in setting up legal CJ sites loaded with such keywords, at least they make it harder for the genuinely illegal sites to operate - although I fully understand the dubious morality of making money off such traffic.
