I always wondered how I would act..

Some of you know I used to be a cop and pretty much worked the real shit area's w/ the real shit people. I have been shot at, bitten, kicked, spit on, and that was just from women (lol)

Anyway, I driving today and I get pulled over. So I watch this rookie walk up and do everything by the book, stumble across his words as he trying to sound assertive, and takes 20 minutes to write me a citation. Could I have told this guy I was a cop before and what agency I worked at and gotten off.. I would say yea, for sure. I never mentioned it and just signed it and moved on.

Not sure why I didn't mention it, but it just seemed wrong at the time. Am I getting soft? Or maybe it really was just the right thing to do :thumbsup

Why'd you leave the force? I was thinking about getting into law enforcement when I was younger. Seemed like a totally and constantly exciting line of work, but a lot of cops I talked to said it wasn't as fun as it appears and you deal for the most part with scums and losers if you get a crappy beat.

It's the biggest rush in the world, yet that only happens maybe 3% of the time. Most is actually kinda boring. I left because my hobby started paying more in 2 months than I made in a full year of being a cop. It was just not practical anymore.
