A very Sad few days!!!

Its prob not my place to post this but I have found this week, and its only Tuesday very very depressing.

With the demise of Glo Bill I have had a seris of emails from people who stand to loose everything they have worked so hard to build up.

It got me wondering to what extent it effect everyone and how many people lost their lively hood. Before any states the obvious
that surely its good news for Nochex its not. Its ba very bad as we tend to work with people from the UK who also had Glo Bill.

I am also interested to hear if webmasters have got together to for a resource point for people who now need either reduced rate hosting etc so they can get back on their feet.

Maybe its just me and I need to become more hard nosed to all of this and say 'stuff it I OK' but today I cant. My lively hood depends on the webmasters and right now they are getting screwed beyond our wildest dreams, the most sickening thing is theres not an awful lot we can do about it.

It will be pretty dam hard to find any sympathy in this business unfortunately.
If they can't afford the $750.00 dollar fee, they shouldn't be in it anyways.
Its a dog eat dog world.:BangBang:

very true! now is not the time to complain about anything; now is the time to take action and change your way of business. those who survive, will prosper. those who fail, were doomed to do so.

There are too many people eating at the table and when that happens, inevitably something occurs to change the seating arrangement.

The $750 has little if nothing to do with it for anyone in Europe.

That makes even less sense than your first post. What's moving got to do with it? Processing isn't a problem in Europe. However, using companies ignoring or trying to get around cross-border regs is a problem for anyone using them.

It's evolution baby!

The sick and the weak get picked off and the remaining industry grows stronger.

I'm ahead, I'm a man
I'm the first mammal to wear pants, yeah
I'm at peace with my lust
I can kill 'cause in God I trust, yeah
It's evolution, baby!

This may be the case now though things can not carry on this way or there will be no future for anyone.

The impression I get is that the US want rid of porn full stop yet they have not looked at the how many people the idustry supports and how people depend on it.

When I get emails from people who are estimating to have lost near on $100K this year due to billing companies folding its not good for anyone.

We all compete for business though I will loose customers due to glo bill recent news like so many other people. Others of you out there will loose traffic from sites that linked you to them who have also been forced to close.

This industry has a bad enough name rightly or wrongly and I still beleive in times like this everyone should pull together and stick a big fat finger in the air at the CC companies.

Has anyone else not thought it very odd that this has all happened on the eve of Internext. As I said in the title its a very sad week and unless unity is shown they will continue to bullie us all.

We will offer reduced rate hosting to any adult webmaster needing to get back on their feet. Any adult webmaster is welcome to contact me with their virtual, reseller, and/or dedicated *nix based needs. Sorry but we don't do win woes . . .

We will also support any effort to boycott VISA/MC. I think they owe us as an industry some respect and minimally an explantation regarding their role in the demise of these IPSP's. Absent the same they will get no respect from me!
I would like to see thier reaction to the adult industry refusing to do business with them!
