United Colo gave us 24 hours notice of a "scheduled outage", at 6pm on a Friday (Saturday down here in Australia), which was supposed to last for 1.5 hours. It ended up being more like 9 hours, during which our server (and, presumably, the rest of their servers) were put on a plane and flown to Florida, and are now part of sagonet.com.
Dont ask me how they expected to move their entire operation by air to Florida in 1.5 hours. Except for the "outage notification" which was a complete work of fiction, we were given zero information about this, by either united or sagonet, either before or afterwards.
If anyone from sagonet or united colo is reading this and wants to give me a convincing explanation as to why we were given the mushroom treatment, they should email me.. But at the moment I'd trust them about as far as I could spit them.
