Question about Free X3 TGP Script
 

I am building a database for a submission service and I notice that, at least tonight, those TGP's using Free X3 TGP Script...none of them are working correctly. Tonight every single one of them that I have encountered is giving the following error...

Could not see if submit limit has been reached:Can't open file: 'ftgp_gallery.MYD'. (errno: 145)

Is this a problem script or is this just a one time quirk??

well ... as somebody on the submission end of it --it's a "crap shoot" whether it's up or done. been more down than up the last few days. personally - i'd recommend ya go get a copy of Auto Gallery from JMB Software, and fire it up. what little i "played" with it - it did what it was supposed to do. that way at least your not worrying about somebody else's stuff working or not working if your running your own stuff. `specially when you've got a site to run ...

I noticed the same thing today...and a couple days ago, it was down for 2 whole days.
The saying is true - you get what you pay for :)

Thanks for the info but I do not have any intentions of using it. I am building a database for a submission serivce and if it is a problem script I do not want to add TGP's that are using it to the database.

There are enough sites that use it that they are worth adding. Sure there have been a couple of downtimes, but the free x3 script is usually working well.

The free x3 script is always fucking up. Their service is very 3rd-rate, but I guess you get what you pay for. Like someone suggested, a good paid alternative is jmbsoft's tgp script.

as for the reliabilty of X3 - was down a night or two ago, and it's down again now.

Ive used X-3 PAID scripts for nearly 4 years now. NEVER a problem.
